He he, this should be fun.

I've just started work on an adventure game, don't expect top of the notch work, I'm working solo here and I don't have the patients to get it visually perfect. So I will try and explain the problems is some sort of comical way. Here are some screenshots.

- Our main Character, The Lost Welshman is indroduced to us in this mistifying intro scene. Well, actually the eyebrows in the backround go up and down seperatly and Lost mentions the fact that he always has that dream.

- After Lost wakes up he can walk around the level, looking different at almost every angle (Will be explained or mentioned). In this picture Lost is being told to 'use' the sun. The sign says something like 'Welcome to 'The Swamp' enjoy your stay. And follow the Rules or else'. This scene includes things like being able to talk to the sun, trying to steal the sign and crap like that.

- This scene is the third and final scene that I made. It shows a NPC called Herby, although he only says ARF, I think its pretty obvious that's his name. It also shows Lost being told to 'use' himself.

(If your wondering what in the hell possesed me to make this then I'll tell you. Its the Skies. I figured out how to make cool looking skies!)

So what do you think?

Hi Guys, sorry was away for the day.

Ok about the graphics, I can't seem to get rid of the annoying white part surrounding the characters. I like my backrounds though. I tried to make the HUD or whatever the 'Day of the Tentacle' Style but the inventory window didn't work.

The program is something like Adventure Game Studio. I think I found it in the AdventureDevelopers forum in LF. If there is one :p

Its really wasy to use but you can only make simple games unless you know scripting. So I have to find the time to learn. I've restarted the game as I messed it up. So now those cool backrounds have gone, and so has the animated backround. *sigh*

Now I need MIDI's for cool music. Oh and its about the same randomness as my website so when I release it to you all, BEWARE!

Gotta love this kinda of retro point and click gaming design, specially on some LEC owned forums :)

Hmm I think I'll play that game with 4xFSAA :) Those white edges really are annoying :) But hell yeah, it looks like Monkey Island, and that series ROCKS!!

Father Torque It would be great if you could help with the soundtrack. I'll give you a bunch of points for it me thinks. PM me or talk to me on MSN and I'll sort things out with you.

Ok, now I have a test of the game. Those screenshots above aren't included. I decided to re-do it. But its better now.

If anyone else is interested in a job check the readme in this file and e-mail me. Thanks.

the download is here : [URL=http://members.lycos.co.uk/lostwelshman/Insanity.'zip[/URL]

Make sure you check the rooms fully :D.

Thanks and Enjoy

Once the file is downloaded you need do delete the ' so the file reads Insanity.zip

I couldn't upload the zip file so I had to add that little inconvinience.

Please tell me what you think so far.
