Alright, some people think we should name our villiage thingy, well here's a thread where we can come up with one. Just throw around some ideas and try not to hit that window.:D

Hall of the Associates? Wait, that could be a Government Building.

Associateville?
=A=?

Something to do with the Associate name, I hope.

I think someone suggested Athens as our city name but I think we can get a little more origonal than that :) . I tried to find a latin translator on google but I had no luck. A latin city name would go well with our slogan. We should also try and make the city name to sound something that would fit in Corellia... We need our EU god...

Officina Gentium

Latin for "The workshop of the world".

Tell me what you think.

They are names of greek cities and peninsulas, and egyptian cities. Geography, man, you have to study geography! :)

Yeah, Corintha is pretty cool.

Personally, I think we should wait until we settle somewhere before we choose name, as geographical features may come into it when we choose the name, know what I mean? :D

yes... It would be cool if our city was near an ocean (corellia does have oceans). Maybe if it was near a ocean it would effect our name.

I like Corintha as well. But I also agree that we should wait for geographical factors.

Concider that realnames could be restricted from using.

Thebes, for instance, I'm pretty sure will be, seeing it's such a known name.

Wow I am glad everyone likes the name Corintha. Nice to be attributing to the group. Only problem I have is I still have no verification on whether am a member. LOL Oh well it doesn't matter.

Yes XX-Patman-XX the names came from greek civilization dating in 500 b.c. It seems like alot of the names lucas uses in his films resembles ancient history.

Didn't somebody come up with Talus a long time ago?

Xx_Patman_xX
06-04-2003, 09:29 PM
uhhh talus is a planet... not a good idea for the name of our city. ;)

Damarius

Information on the Talus planet can be gotten from the official Forum.

Talus (http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/features/planets/planets_tal.jsp)

The city name should probaly not be affilated with a planet.

Especially a planet we are not even gonna be on :)

Should we make a poll?
Cause I'll start one.

Altus_Thrawn

I like Corintha.
Some names like Athens will probably be banned, but I think that less common ones will be fine.

I think we should wait on the poll until we get some more names. The city name is a very important thing. We should have a lot of different options, and make sure the one we choose is the right one.

I like Corintha, but to me it sounds too...you know. Corellia, Coronet, Corintha... I know we're trying to get names that "go" with the planet, but I think we need something a little different.

I just thought of a random name. How about Tyrus? Oh well its just a thought, anyway I agree with Jack on this. We should think of some more names. Hey I thought of another name, Asociado City. I went to dictionary.com and used the translater for this.

Ok Well anyway it's bound to change once where in game.
These will just give us backround.

We can't administrate the PA on SWGalaxies.net. The site is down. Juztyn & co are working on it. Until then, please have patience.

I hate when the site goes down. This is where I get my news! Now I actually have to go to the official site for it.

Well, we apologise for it being down, but we're hoping it will be up again soon.

My bad, I meant Tanis, not Talus. I've kinda been out of SWG lately ;) . I think theres a thread about it somewhere though.
