Despite the many great moments which I will not spoil it doesnt stand up the vision and impact of its predesesor T2. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it an 8, with T2 being a 9.5. It is still a very good movie, a must see, one of Schwarzenegars best films, but Cameron should have done it. I dont know why he sold out.

It seems the moments are what hold the movie up, not the story or vision. It completely blew away the "No fate" philosophy which is what T1 and T2 were all about. It goes the opposite way like nothing can stop fate, fate is everything. Thats wrong, it makes the philosophy that Cameron conveyed totally irrelevant, everything that they did in T2 to stop Judgement day was in vain, it just sticks to one thing: save John Conner, nothing else matters. Thats not what Camerons message was. I walked away feeling a little disapointed.

I wanted to see more of a relationship between John and the Terminator like they had in T2. I always thought that had a big impact. The Terminator learned to care and understand about humans. Like Sarah Conners quote: The unknown future roles toward us. I for the first time face it with a sence of hope because of a machine, a terminator can learn the value of human life, maybe we can too. The Terminator in this movie didnt seem to give a **** about the future or why he was reprogramed.

But still its a fantastic Schwarzenegar flick. The acting was great, effects were great, the humor was great, its a great action movie which is perhaps only what Jonathan Mostow the director cared about, I dunno. He just didnt do a Cameron job. But I still enjoyed it much. Like I said I give it an 8. Man I loved that car chase. :D

are you nuts? T3 was BORING!!! I mean, at least the plot makes sense... kinda (don't get me started on Claire Daine's character). But it was just boring. Just another run of the mill shoot 'em up movie.

P.S. StarWarsPhreak sucks.

This is why Star Wars must never leave the hands of George Lucas!

Well, you can't really mess with time...I mean, History Abhors a Paradox.

Suppose that the Terminator had killed Sarah or Jon? What would be a result? No resistance for the robot army? WRONG!! Time would expel the irritant. I.e: If the Terminator had succeeded, he'd have no reason to have gone back in the first place. Thus, his actions would be expelled and the resistance would occur like its supposed to.

Now what does this ramble hafta do with anything? Well, when they destroyed the chips, that would mean that the Terminators never came back which would mean they never destroyed the chips. Thus, time removed that from ever happening, causing the robots to be created. It seems to me they just delayed, or atleast altered, the inevitable.

So maybe Cameron was the jackass and this guys got the right idea? In any case I'm gonna see it as soon as possible.

i wouldn't be suprised if they ended up doing a GL. Made 3 movies about a Terminator going back to protect the Conner family. Then make 3 more about the war against the machines...

I saw it. I thought it was a good movie. The ending is left open for another movie, but in my opinion, we don't need anymore. We already know that Conner leads the humans to victory, that's why the terminators were sent back in time to kill him. So movies about the resistance seems kinda pointless to me, but knowing Hollywood, more movies = more money.

The reason why John and the T-101 in T2 had a relationship is because:
1. John himself reprogrammed the T-101.
2. In the special edition DVD they show a scene where the T-101 can't learn until they activate a learning circuit in his CPU. If you haven't seen the special edition of T2, then you haven't seen T2. It will put your "9.5" up to a "15.5."

The T-101 in T3 was not reprogrammed by John. It was reprogrammed by his wife. Secondly, it's learning circuit was never switched on.

As for the fate .vs destiny bit, I loved it. In the very beginning John Connor is quoting that. It was very interesting. In fact I appreciated it more than what the Matrix did in Reloaded (herein called Matrix 2) I liked T3 more than Matrix 2.

Matrix Reloaded was weak. Being a Christian, I liked the philosophy from Matrix 1. I really did not favor the philosphy in Matrix 2. It is like they took the philosophical groundwork from Matrix 1, and threw it in the trash.:swear:
So I guess in that perspective I can understand how you were disappointed with T3.

they show a scene where the T-101 can't learn until they activate a learning circuit in his CPU

DAMN...and i thought he learned on his own...

But i wonder why cameron never putted this scene in the film....Maybe they DO learn on their own. Wasn't that thing one of the best messages in T2?

Anyway about T3

i didn't want to see it at all....well maybe for the woman...she looks perfect as T-X...*ahem* anyway...i wasn't going to see it, until my friends dragged me, and well, i decided to go and have an opinion...
and here it is ;)

It wasn't THAT BAD...but it wasn't even good, it was medium...1/5 stars is what i would give it...

Firstly the whole movie is just a "destruction" from the begining when Connor destructs his bike to the end, where you know :p

TOO many explotions that not only, they didn't hold your eye to the screen but made you get bored...

For me T3 is more like a fan film. The director of this is a FAN, and the creation of a terminator movie with Swarchenekcer (em spelling :o ) was a dream of his. I have seen him some days before in a behind the scenes. He said the line some dozen times."i can't believe i am making a terminator movie, and with arnold, i return home and tell it to my wife" (or soemthing like that) And it's true. if you look in the movie it has no true soul. It is just a ripoff of the previous, mostly playing with reminds of the first two. (thus the many action, because it doesn't have much to say). And don't let me start with the acting and the dialogues....holy mother...they are awful. "why me why me" (bliah) Connor would have never say that...
It's surely is like a fan film, made mostly for the fans because they would want a continue...

For me Judgement day never came. T2 made it perfect...

maybe i am a little(very) strict but i am just logic :D

I thought it was good for part 3, as long as there is part 4....

It wasn't horrid. I mean, I liked all the action and ****. What irked me was the 'We only have 20 minutes to get there, so lets stand here and look stupid for awhile!' crap Connor and whatshernuts were doing. I just wanted to scream 'RUN YOU BLOODY MORONS BEFORE YOU RUN OUT OF ****ING TIME AND DIE IN A MESS OF BOOMS AND BANGS GODDAMMIT!' in the middle of the theater
