has any been using this at all just wanted to know what the differance in save formats are .map .xmap anything i should know of

I'm not sure, I think xmap is MAP in XML format or something, you probably don't need to worry about it.

ok with maps saves with the .xmap extention i get this message anyone can enlighten me it also always crashes i know its not final and still beta

The XMAP format isn't supported by the compiler obviously. I'm not sure what the purpose of an XML format is, perhaps speed increase... Maybe future version of Q3Map2 will support it.

emon i got it to compile last nite seems to be a bit faster haven loaded the test file to see if theres anything differnt just xml map forumats unstable for compiling
