I've sent out a couple emails ingame, but I think only a handful of people read them. They were also a little...messy, so I'm going to post on here what I need.
As most of you know, Grask has attained the level of Smuggler. As most Smugglers will tell you, the bread and butter of this profession is slicing. Slicing can do 4 things: Open Locked Containers, increase mission terminals' rewards, increase a weapon's damage or lower it's speed, and make a set of armor less encumbering (and some other stuff, I'm not there yet).
Right now I have Slicing II, which means I can mess with weapons. More precisely, I can increase it's damage or lower it's attack speed by 15-30% (I don't get to choose which changes). With Slicing II, I have a 75% chance. After a slicing attempt, a weapon can never be sliced again.
Sound pretty cool, huh? It is, but it comes at a price. A Smugglers tools are disposable, so I go through Copper and WUKs like a madman. What's a WUK? A Weapon Upgrade Kit. Every successful weapon slice uses up one of these. Novice Weaponsmiths can make these, so I need to find a Weaponsmith in the PA who will do this for me (I will gladly pay, I just need a steady supply). With a factory, Weaponsmiths can pump these out in crates. A crate holds 25, and takes up 5 inventory slots. Once I reach Slicing III, I can work on armor. At that point, I'll need crates of AUKs, but I think Vega is hooking me up with those.
So, that's slicing. Another product of Smuggling is Spice. Spice, to put it bluntly, is a drug. Spice can temporarily increase a number of stats on your character. A lot of people say, "Spice is useless", and other crap like that. Let me tell you, it's not. If I were to go out sampling, I would have to stop after approx. 7 min. If I were to take some Shadowpaw before sampling, I could stay out for approx. 15 min. Of course, there are downsides to Spice, but I think the good far outweighs the bad. When the Spice wears off, your character will keep the negative effects of the Spice, and will also receive the opposite of the positive effects. This will last for about half the time that the Spice lasted. Also, your character will puke a couple times.
A lot of people say, "Well, my character doesn't do Spice." I'm fine with that, but if you're not taking it just because you think it's worthless, at least give it a try. And please don't think I'm a scoundrel, we all have to make money somehow :).
Well, that's about it. To recap, I need...
Copper
A Weaponsmith to make...
Crates of WUKs, which come from a...
Factory
ANY weapon, so I can practice slicing. Please collect your old CDEFs and Wooden Staves (yeah, I can slice them).
One last thing. I have Business IV, which means I can put a vendor in my house. My new house is located at the Crafters Retreat. If you're in the area, stop in. I carry Spice, and I sell sliced weapons at 1 cred. a piece (don't expect an FW whatever pistol in there).
