My dad keeps bugging me to help him find games for his computer (Win98) that will just be point and click with no keybording (which I am thinking is impossible that they make a game with no keyboarding) like a shoot-um-up kinda game, cuz he has casino games and plays pogo and his b-day is coming up. It can be old/new doesn't matter. Anythoughts?

Well, when you say Point and Click, I say Lucas Arts.

And when I say Lucas Arts, I mean - Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Full Throttle, Monkey Island 1, 2 and 3. These are all great point and click games requiring no keyboard use at all. Just mouse and some thinking :p

Other nice mouse-only (mostly) games could be any strategy game - like Age of Empires, or Age of Mythology or WarCraft III. Unless he's a hardcore online player who needs to use his 'hotkeys,' a mouse will suffice.

These are essentially, the two categories I can think of that require little to no keyboard use - Point n' Click adventure and Strategy.

Hope that helps.:)

I offered him the sims and he said he didnt like it. I think bad experience with pogos sims pinball was to blame cuz he was trying to use it on a bad aol connection. lol. man I want all the sims :D Thanks for the suggestions, he was looking at some pirate games and pirates of the caribean but it looked like it used a lot of keyboard but I wasn't too sure

i only had the sims and the first xpack for it. the one with the vibrating bed... ;) then i knew that i couldnt buy any more xpacks because i'd never leave my comp! too damn addictive!

the funniest part of that bed was after you see them under the covers that sometimes a baby in a basinet just *poof* appears out of no where! CLASSIC!

Majora's Mask and Link's Awakening had nothing to do with Zelda.. and that's all I can think of.

The whole plot revolves around Zelda in OOT, well not really, but she is a major player, and if you didn't notice 'er, then you are dumb

Seriously... I just can't remember the plot for the game other than to go back and forth in time and do different crap.
there was something about a horse, and like 5 ghosts in the field and lots of running. Then at night the monsters all came out.
But I couldn't tell you squat about the plot and I sold the game back a long time ago...

Well, I don't know about Zelda... but returning to the main topic, as someone pointed out, unless you're a hardcore gamer, you don't need a keyboard for RTS games, Age of Empires II Gold and SWGB Saga are in the market, they run in low-end systems and have good price. Those would be my first choices.

If he wants another kind of game, I strongly recommend the Zoo Tycoon series, the complete series will be sold in a single package in September. That's an easy, fun game that doesn't require fast scrolling or anything else that your dad might not like.

Sim City 3000 Unlimited. I know Sim City 4 is in the market, but 3000 has lower requirements. Sim City is a really nice game with infinite options. Absolutely awesome game.

*Zelda thing:

remember. Zelda is the name of the princess always,

the Heroīs name "officialy" is link
but remember you can change the name if you want, so, you missed this point

The lenged of zelda only basis is a princess called Zelda.

If the legend series were talking only about Link then you couldnt change the name of the hero :)

@topic:

Simcity series are really good, i still play simcity 2000 ,i like it most than 3000 :D

i remember one of my cities: Gore city :D

Zelda thing:

All the guys are Link's but they are all different Link's are something like that. The Link from The Legend of Zelda 3 is another Link then the one from Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask...but they all wear the same clothes...have the same weapons(to some extend)...the same princess to rescues...They'Re all a bunch of clones!!!!!!!

Back on Topic-

You should try Civilization3. It's a bit long but it's a lot of fun and doesn't require a big comp to play.

You should play the Winwaker, that game explains it.

The Legend of Zelda repeats itself ... everytime there is another Link, and another princess Zelda ... but the same Ganon(dorf)

yes, now:

Windwaker is supposed to happen 100 years after Z:OoT

the introduction of zelda tells everything, the way that Hyrule was forgotten and ... etc etc

i wont ruin the surprise

psst my dad needs a game that won't confuse the hell outta him. He's easily confused. He actually thought there was someone on the other side of the internet clicking things for him. he thought if we clicked to fast they wouldn't catch up. Yes, I'm ashamed...but really. He needs an easy game.
