That’s right! I received my Loom VGA ‘talkie’ CD today! :D

I won it on Ebay for the bargain price of £5.50 (I know!). It’s the ‘cheapie’ Kixx XL release, but I’m still pretty chuffed. The game runs fine with ScummVM and its great to hear the character’s voices. The legendry ‘Book of Patterns’ is included but its not separate, it’s incorporated into the manual. (Got Flashback CD thrown in as a bonus as well!)

Bask in all its glory here (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3036247801&category=11047&rd=1).

My only gripe is that the Loom Audio Drama CD (came as a tape with the EGA version) was not included in the Kixx XL release. :(

I was just wondering, out of the kindness of your hearts, if u guys would answer a few questions on it?

Is it any good?
Is it illegal to download?
If so, slap my wrists for asking!
If not, does anyone know where I can find it?

Thanks ;)

Well, LucasFans (http://lucasfans.mixnmojo.com/index2.html) had it at one point. It came in 7 parts: 3 audio drama files, 4 music tracks (all in zipped VQF format (http://www.vqf.com)).

If Mojo goes online ever again check out Features - Special Features - Loom Audio Drama on LucasFans.

Mods please remove if considered illegal!

Go Here (http://www.tentakelvilla.de/download/empedrei.html) for the mp3 version of the audio drama.

It's a German page but I think it's not hard to figure out what is the file you are interested in.

Thanks Wizball! Exactly what i was looking for. I've downloaded it, converted it to wave & burned it onto CD with a pretty Loom label.

Thanks again :D
