Hi everyone!

I'm just wondering if there is any way possible to make your voices all "digitalized" like in Days Go By by Dirty Vegas?

And, if so, which program to use, and how to do it? :)

Thanks,
Acrylic

Sound Forge if you've got money (lots of it), GoldWave if you don't. And i've found Audacity can be fairly useful for some basic effects.

:EDIT: Effects like Flange and Reverb will help you to achieve that sound, though.

I have a Digitech Effects processor that I used to use in one of my old bands. If you hook the mic up to a distortion pedal, and then hook that into the effects processor, you would be AMAZED at the number of cool sounds you can make.

I'm pretty sure the effect in that song is a vocoder.
What is it?: http://www.sirlab.de/linux/descr_vocoder.html

Here's a free one: http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/audio/vocoder.htm

Well, It is SOMETHING like that, but it makes me sound more like a robot than a little bit digital. I mean, it could be it...but, it makes me sound WAY too much like a robot.

Anymore thingys that could make me sound like the guy from Days Go BY?

Well, that one is a free download,.. and on that track it sounds like the "Dry" or unprocessed voice track is mixed in together with the vocoded sound. A lot depends on what synth sound you are using as the base sound for the vocoder as well.

Here's another version you can try:

You can also try an "exciter" and/or a "ring modulator" on your voice. Similar effects.
