View Full Version : Would you like to see a KOTOR Movie?!

Not sure if this is overkill, but I'd love to see KOTOR made into a feature film (at least a Sci Fi special movie or something). I had read on another board that the plot and dialogue in the game is generally considered to better than both Episodes I & II.

Or maybe it's time for a Star Wars weekly series (if Stargate can take off like it has, why not?)

Thoughts?

i dont know about a movie cuz KOTOR is like a silmarillion type of game (excuse the LOTR term).....but it would make a pretty cool mini-series:D

We'd be talking at least 10 movies. Which might translate into 40 movie shows (accounting for the fact that shows often bring in "sidequests" and such).

Personally, I don't think there'd be enough interest. "Diehard" SW movie fans wouldn't like it, and plus...who'd act? They could do it like computer generated, but then...it'd just be the game. Besides, how would they explain the 3 party member limit? :D

Instead of a movie, they could easily make a great TV series out of the 'Tales of the Jedi' comic series (which KOTOR was pretty much drawn from anyway). How about an anthology show focusing on a different character every week? Think of the possibilities! If someone is really popular, they could do recurring characters, even throw in animated episodes like Amazing Stories did back in the 80's. I'd love to see an episode featuring a padawan Yoda, Qui-Gon, even Dooku! Wanna see the Mandalorians in their full glory? Do it! You could do stories on Ossus, the birth place of the Jedi, or shoot ahead to the future & feature one or all of the Solo kids or Mara Jade. The possibilites would be endless! Let's march to Marin right now & demand it! (Oops, getting ahead of myself...) :D

i think its actually a good idea. the game is never egsactly like the movie anyways. there doesnt have to be a limit. it can be like the justice league. god i love that show lol. they can all move around together and all have a special use. i think they could do a season of it. it would be cool.
yes i think computer generated would be best. just like the justice league. that way its affordable and they dont have to deal with jerky actors in between scenes ;) .

maybe it would work if we could get peter jackson to direct and produce the damn thing. episode I & II were almost completely disappointing. sorry george!

Well, part of me at least wants to translate the game into a novel. At least the path I'm playing.

Yes, I'm a fanfic geek. I can also beg the brother in law and my sister's ex-roomie for details and information on the universe. Those two so much about SW that they are the ones standing on the "Stump the Jedi" panel for the local conventions.

I think it's a great idea, they could squeeze it into a trilogy.

i agree with what a couple people have said, making it into a mini-series, would be the best idea, cause if they made movies GL would want to be the 1 making it, but he's to old to do another trilogy after this next movie, and y not let some1 he respects do a mini-series for like the sci-fi channel about this, it would be the sh*t, sorry bout the lauguage but it would!:D
