Take your pick. Long story short, the locomotive disconnected from the rest of the train and derailed. The man in the front seat was killed and the ten people behind him were injured.

Damn, that's sad.:( We were just there in May. My 4 year old rode that thing 3 times. It's a great little coaster.

To bad this had to happen..:(

Yeah, terrible thing to happen. I wonder what the consequences will be. They can't be too good :(

I love that ride too, it's so much fun! But man, this is very sad........I'm sure they already have the lawsuit ready to go. :(

Bad publicity that will be forgotten in a few months.

Too bad for the casualties... but I doubt Disney will do anything about the security. It just doesn't happen often enough; they'll just wait for things to die down.

Oh, with the way things are today, I'm positive that someone will try to sue. People are crappy and greedy like that.

Well in a case like this I think someone needs to be sued. Disney is always shooting their mouth off about how they check things.

that stinks... I like Thunder Railroad at Disney in Orlando. I hope they don't shut the ride down

This time I agree. I don't particularly like the easiness with which you americans can sue anybody (not criticizing, just posting my point of view), but Disney deserves to be sued.

Like Rhett said, they're always saying they have excellent maintenance and security, I don't know about you people, but if you cannot feel safe in a ride at Disney, then where can you?

I've rode this coaster too many times to count...and long story short...there has been a number of times when I thought I was going to fly out. Its a rough coaster with only a bar across your lap.

My friend works at disney...maybe I can find out the inside scoop...
