Me personally, I love the double-sabers' ground attack. How about you all?

Personally, I like the three single saber katas. I slice! I dice! I chop everyone up real nice!

I love most of the moves, so I can't really choose between them. The Cartwheel is nice for a finishing move, though. It looks cool in slo-mo... ;)

I like all the moves so far, but I tend to use these 2 most:

Rolling stab
Dual side stab

Though I play mostly dual, the staff moves are the prettiest:maul::dsaber:
The red stance kata is very very nice and the dual sabers barrier has the best style

I love that move too. But is there a way to bind a key so that if you press it, you execute that move?

Siggeman: Not really. The ground attack depends on location moreso than the controls. I've accidentally used that attack several times because I was too close to a knocked over enemy. I've also executed that move without using the jump button. I did however try to script it and yes, its possible to put the commands to a single button, but it doesnt make the move any easier. It's just like real estate: location location location.

If you're in the wrong spot when you use the command to do the ground attacks, you'll go into a butterfly, dfa, or some other stance's move.

Talliusc: You are absolutley right! The Fast stance Force Pull Impale is the most effective/deadly saber move. You dont even have to succeed at the Pull for it to work and the computer rarely blocks it. I'd walk right up to the Reborn and use that move. They raise a hand to block the Pull and die from my saber through their gut.

Yep, love the single light stance pull stab move. It's funny walking up to cultists "you can't beat me Jedi" then sticking them through and killing them in a instant. Works even better if you activate rage right before you do it.

I got a feeling it's not gonna be in multiplayer. It would be be spammed worse than the backsweep in 1.02 JO.

I really like the side-to-side and front-to-back stabs with dual sabers... Rarely get the chance to do it (like the staff kicks in the same directions) but they look cool. And the cartwheel is nice too, even though I've rarely killed anyone with it...

Sticking to the wall, roling and impaling an enemy looks nice, but it's hard to get it perfect.

not a "style" per say, but I love this:

when you do a normal strike with the staff, then strafe+strike you sometimes get a "spinning" strike. basically, you attack then strafe and attack at just the right moment (just before the strike animation is complete) and you "spin" in place while spinning the staff over you head.

REAL COOL imo

kinda hard to pull off regularly, and it doesn't really "do" anything, but i love it

the crouch forward and attack move with saber staff where you spin it a billion times

Chuahtemoc

lol im not addicted to any single move. i try to keep my game flowing so i dont ever have to do the same move twice within 5 seconds, if you get what i mean.

I'm with Chuahtemoc, I don't use a particular move more than anything else. I find it satisfying when they say "You can't beat me, jedi." and I kill them them with a single slash (with any stance, the upwards diagonal slash works wonders), it looks cool when I jump over their heads and saber them with the backflip attack, it's quick and easy to do a force pull impale/slash or pulling them down and doing the ground attack.

It's all good.

Grip. Turn. Release. :D

BTW - wtf is with all the scripting?!

Do it yourself.

Has anyone been able to hit an opponent with the front jump kick (space, then W + alt fire) while their opponent is on the ground? I've only managed to connect with that kick after I've force choked my enemy up high enough into the air.

i'm definitely addicted to the staff twirl. i hope they can make it cost force points in MP or else I see that move being spammed to hell.

I believe it's the same with the dual saber twirl...

Kill them yourself.

I tried scripting the ground stab because everytime I tried to use it I'd go into a butterfly dfa or some other attack. That ground attack doesn't work as fluently as it should.

As for your general whining about scripting, I'd like to quote....you.

Only losers whine. Don't be a loser.

Sam Fisher

Yeah, its with the saber, any type.

Press and hold mouse1 and then press mouse2.

It is a really devestating attack. If you hit them.

So you mean, yes, you CAN bind it to a key, but it will only work of you're right in front of an enemy on the ground? Otherwize you do a diferent special attack? Well if so, could you please tell me how to do this, cause I'd really like to try it.

I tired that move with my staff. It's really not that hard, it just takes a bit of practice. Anyone could try it with a dowel, or broomstick, or soemthing.

well i havn't figured out all the moves yet. but the staff saber attack when crouched and forward attatck. you go ginsu on them and just slice and dice. it anihilates them.

well, I've got a couple of cool combos.

#1 Ok, this one isn't very cool, but just choke em then when there up in the air release and push

#2 Same thing as #1 but you pull this time and stab em ( if your using light/single stance) or ground attack em (anything else)

#3 jump kick to ground stab (with saber staff). landing a jump kick isn't too hard, the trick is not to jump too high.

also, I think that the crouch-foward-attack spinning combo is really cool

hey can anyone tell me how to pull off the attack kata? ive seen it on lucasarts.com and it looks amazing but i cant quite figure out how to do it..

Anakin1607

You push attack 1, wait for a slight instant, then hit attack 2. If you mash both at the same time, you'll probably do a saber throw.

Favorite move so far is dual saber twirl. :D

I LOVE, LOVE! all the saber staff moves, very one of them. I also like killing with the staff without the moves or jumping to.

Twin sabers, I just get to comfused with them. Can't seem to get the feel with them. I just don't know were my hits are going to land. The saber light tails last get in the way.

Haven't use the single saber yet...:o
