their new album titled The Thirteenth Step has completely blown me away. I got it three days ago and have been playing it all the time. The first three songs are just excellent, finally new music is giving me something interesting and worth my time for. I absolutely cannot wait to see what Maynard has up his sleeve for Tool next :D

Good to hear you liked it - I've heard from a friend that it didn't exactly get rave reviews.

Based on your recommendation though, I'm thinking about buying it seriously now, if that makes you feel any better :)

not sure, but there is something going on. I know its been floating around forever but maynard and reznor have been working together for some time now.

It is a great album.

That project you are talking about is/was called the tapeworm project and Danny Lohner of NIN said in an interview a couple of days ago that Trent and MJK are still working on it.

Omg, I was going to make a topic about APC but I havnt been on as much as I planned too.
I just got their 1st album because they didnt have their second, so it's all cool.
I've borrowed their second and didn't think it was as good as the first but it did own some serious bum!

the first album is awesome, but the second album has a serious tune to it. And a serious theme to it...that relates to me in some weird sort of way...
