With this mod I wash my hands of Jedi Outcast!
Bascially it it's a fusion of the previous Remix mod with the cool stuff from the Blade Mod demos. It's just under 60 Megs, and can be gotten from there sites:
If you've never seen of of my DR mods: Long story short I have no talent BUT I can weave togather cool elemets from other mods. Now for some reason everyone was too put-off to create a single player mod for JKO. These mods were supposed to prove that there was still some moddibilidy even WITHOUT directly messing with the code or animation files. Is it worth it? I can't really say, I've been working on it on and off for too damn long. I do have a multiplayer 'upgrade' as usual, but there's limited point in releasing it with no audience. Rather I'll probably just get to work in making a JKA weapons pack or something. For me this mod is basically a promotion for my potential Jedi Academy mods: Blade: Knight of Dracul and The Jedi with No Name .

Wow dude, long time no see. Look's like the blade mod we started is pretty much dead huh? Kepp up the good work and good luck :D

:cool: I'm going to be re-pitching the Blade mod, this time for JKA, in a few weeks. I'm gonna test how the weapons transfer over first.

Im really waiting for what skin you've come up for the new Tavion, and i beg you to include that Desann skin that was in the Jedi Outcast mod :D

:cool: Hmm... Tavion. Never though much about her, all I've got so far is replacing the Sith Scepter with Surman's staff, looks better IMHO. I wish I knew more about shaders, I'd love to give it a cool reflective/metalic look.
So far I've ported over my 'Covax' skin, Dragon Remix Kyle, and Kingu (my Dessan) with no problems, I guess I'll spend a day on a Tavion... guess I gotta give 'er a cyborg arm or somethin...

Perhaps making a Cyborg arm on the Possesed skin and replacing the normal Tavion with that would look excellent ;)

:cool: I came up with an idea for Tavion geting her arm back that's totaly different, makes sense if she wanted to be 'more like Desann'.

Even though I quit the team, I will be happy to contribute skin or what not, From my opinion, the Blade Mod Is Dead.
Try something new like a tmnt (teenage mutant ninga turtles) tc mod or something. I u do a tmnt mod, i know how to shade things to look like the cartoon

:cool: In the General forum I've got a vote to see if I should work on Blade or on the Star Wars mod. Blade is winnning just barely. Right now I have no team or real mod project, all this WB Academy stuff is mainly for practice.
Blade died simply because few people though that a SP TC was possible without the source code. I kept trying to show people that you could fake it but few really caught on. Anywho, I'll decide in two weeks what mod I'll work on.

That's the whole problem with weapons in Outcast/Academy. But for Academy, perhaps tusk_shot_func as a missile can prove useful for ballistic firearm weapons?
I also noticed, that almost all the weapon models, being held at the stupid hip position, the stock of almost all the weapons goes through actor's arms... maybe a tweek with the animation files to have from-the-shoulder firing?

That's a pretty good idea, Blade isn't the Matrix so we won't need to SEE the bullets as much. Spikes yea, I just hope with the new skin-damaging shaders I can come up with some way to turn NPC's into pincusions. ;)

The way it stands now Jedi Octacst and Academy suck for gunplay. I'm gonna try and get someone to tweek the hell out of the animations. I loved the SWAT style of the Briar animation by tFighterPilot for example, so I know stuff like shoulder firing (like with the disruptor) is possible.

:cool: Well, there isn't going to be a WB Academy TC, at least not in the vein of Dragon Remix. I want to avoid those 100Mb downloads for a while.
Still, all these releases and tests should tie in togeather. For example, when I'll release this Tavion skin it'll use the Dessan saber by default, and with the swords pack that means she'd use the big-assed Shadow Sword :D
This skin and a 30+ sword pack (working in SP no less...) should be available by the end of the week.
