View Full Version : Modifying NPC Files

Can anyone give me detailed info on how to do this so I don't screw up my game. All I want to do is make the Saber AI harder, alter there life points, agression, you know all that stuff. I have already gone through and done it but reborns won't spawn and I ended up messin **** up. Any help is appreciated.

Okay, first extract the npc files from the .pk3 using winzip and make certain 'use folder names' is checked. Create a new folder, which I'll call 'mod' for the purposes of explaining, and move the directory where the npc files are stored(ext_data\npcs) into the Mod folder. Open up and edit however many of the files you want. When you're done, create a new .zip file in your gamedata\base directory. With that open in winzip, click on add files and then go into the Mod folder or wherever you put the ext_data folder. With the ext_data folder displayed on the add list, click on 'add with wildcards'. When it's done close down winzip, rename the .zip file to .pk3, and start up the game.
