Iam an absolute newbie at skinning i have no idea i know when im way over my head can someone help convert a mp skin into a sp skin to use in JA? Its the tavion skin in the Mod Sect Skin Pack#1 you can D/L at JK2Files.com or if you guys can i can email ya all the tga and jpg files but for some reason it doesnt have a glm file???? any help will be greatly appreciated

Since the tavion model is already part of the game, you don't need to have an additional copy of it for new skins based on that model.

i thinks he's asking for more than you think. he's probably asking for a way to have tavion as a selectable character in SP......

and the reason it does not have a model.glm, is because it is ONLY a reskin. which means it uses the model.glm that came with the game for tavion.....so simply copy all the files into the tavion or tavion new folder, whichever one the skin is for. then you can go look at the new skins on the model in modview. getting it into SP is a totally different story.

yeah i meant to convert the skin into a selectable single player, soz bout the mix up. im still confused as to whether which editing programs i should use, photoshop? Modview and etc.

and how do you change the file paths for the new skin can i simply delete teh one in the assets1.pk3 and replace with a new one? if so how do you put in the file path for the new jpg or png file?

NEVER delete or modify files in the assets files. You'll screw things up and not be able to play on pure servers.

As for getting the correct file structure into your .pk3, it depends on the zipping program.
