View Full Version : Teleporting ships in flight

I'm building a new project but I cant seem to get teleportation working for ships.

I'm flying an Xwing and come to close to the outerwall and BOOM I get destroyed, now the map is huge and big enough to fly in.
But I like to have ships not fly into the walls or ceilings.

How can I get it fixed?????


Please this is the final part of this version of the map, can anyone tell me what im doing wrong?

Another method is to use trigger_shipboundary which will force the ship to turn.

I use 4 ships in my map and at some point the server crashes saying no more slots..

how do i fix this?

Wade I found that trigger_shipboundary doesn't actually make the ship turn. It just makes them use a turbo...

They do turn, if you set a sufficient travel time, they do boost but in the direction of where it points to an info_notnull or target_position.

out of curiosity how did you do it? just put a normal triger_teleport?

I wouldnt mind know how this is done either. I have tried just the plain trigger telleport theory but the ship its self will not telepot it just blows up.

Did you make the trigger teleport large enough?

Well I made it so it fits from one side to another but let me guess, the whole ship needs to be covered in it before it teleports right?
