Ok, the sound chip on my motherboard just crapped out. If it plays anything at all, it's usually a nasty crackling sound, followed by silence. Looks like I'm getting a new sound card.

Any suggestions? Just basic stuff, no more than $100. I know Creative Labs is a good brand.

Get SB Audigy! You wont regret!!!!!! I got the OEM for about $50+

And its even cheaper when you buy it from the Creative warehouse!

I have a SB Audigy 2 its very cool. Creative is the best stick with them.

I've posted this in another thread, but if you want low proces on anything, go to Prigegrabber (www.pricegrabber.com). I'm buying the parts to get a new computer from it, and it only amounted to about $400, not including fans. ;)
