sp skins problems

how do you use sp skins in jk 2? i simply dowloaded some sp skins, placed them in the JK 2 - Game Data - base folder, and than started the game. however, no options appeared where u would load mods. is there something i am missing?

I think to get SP skins, you ahve to manually replace them in a file. I don't know how to do that though:(
