Can't say I'm too keen on puppies. I read (or maybe saw in a bad movie) once, that you shouldn't trust a man that doesn't like dogs. That would make me the most untrustworthy sunuvabitch to ever walk the earth. Hope your friends family enjoys the gift, nonetheless.

Aren't Daschunds the ones that look like sausages?

I remember my german teacher explaining the name, but I forget what it means. Something -dog.

It means hot dog in german.

I really want a golden retriever - however he/she will have to wait until I get a house. The apartment is WAY too small as it is!

hmm, I don't have any pics :(

last night it was 7:30 in the morning and I hadn't got any sleep, 'cause she was doing what I expected: Whining and crying all night in her cold hard crate

soooo, I just took the little fart and put her in my bed next to me, she didn't move through the whole 3 hours I slept :)

oh, and btw, she's really really really really really really cute :D

I have a 12 year-old golden retriever/samoyed mix. He's old, but we still call him a puppy. He's the perfect dog, and we've had him since I was 4. I would post a pic if somebody would offer pic hosting!! ;)

I have a pug, he is the most animated dog I've ever come across. And also the most brave (you know picks fights with other dogs, lets me throw him and he runs into walls). And also a good snuggler, but a down side to them is that they need alot of medication(for they're nose, and other things)...so they are very expensive. Hell if I didn't have him I could afford a cable line, but then I wouldn't have a lump of muscles to throw around now would I ;). Oh and I would be on the comp all day, and I WOULD DEFFINITLY NOT WANT THAT  !

As for your dog IG, they are pretty cool, but I classify them in the yippy catagory. But when I was living with my parents we had a cocker spaniel mixed with a dachshund god rest her black little sould :(, so I know where your coming form with all the cute ness ;)

EDIT:Sorry my digital camera bites big time, pssh it is deffinitly worth 20 bucks

I hate dachshunds. I've had this one for a while(more than 5 years), and this morning it wouldnt stop whining and howling.

>_<

Course..when it isnt yelling it's vocal cords out, it's nice to cuddle with.

my friend bought her last night and brought her strait here, we have to take care of it untill christmas morning when we take it over to their house. The little girls will be so surprised (6 and 9 I believe) but probably not as surprised as his parents

uhh I didn't catch that part of the story...It probably wasn't the smartest idea to buy the puppy with out the parents permission. I hope that dog has a home tomorrow

Heres my 4 year old Dachsund :D Sad yet incredible story as to how i go ther to.

http://www.imgmag.net/images/iceman_jedi/Image004.jpg

When she was born from my mothers dachsund, she was a still born.
i figured she needed a chance and gave her mouth to mouth. most people think its disgusting, but when the lifeless puppy started whining, you have NO idea how it makes you feel to have saved a life.

and heres 2 of the lil buggers running around right now, we have 2 pups left :P

Bull. I really, strongly dislike dogs of any sort, and I think I can be trusted reasonably. Do you like any other kinds of animals?

Thet loved it. At first thier mom thought we were tricking them and thought it was ours :p

they're trying to find a good name for it. My friend and his brother want to name it Cuddles but the older girl (9) wants to name it Ginger. I'd personally want to name it Cuddles :D

The younger girl seemed to not care much...

its not that kind of party, this has happened before once upon a time, and my friend didn't exactly like it.
