i modeled and animated a Droideka "vehicle" and RenegadeOfPhunk is making the code to make it work right. now we are nearly finished but the droideka needs still a skin. i started to make one but it turns out crap cause skining isnt my strengh.

is there somebody who would like to help us on our Droideka and make a skin? please let us know if you could to that.

Please guys. Myself and Duncan between us have done some top-notch work getting the droideka looking and working pretty slick. I'd be a real shame to not have a slick skin to go with it...

i sent you the model yesterday and today you are showing the first pics, your fantastic. i worked weeks on skins that turnd out crap and you show this after a half day. Now its offical, i am the worst skinner in this galaxy :)

i will post this pics in the WIP droideka thread in the showcase forum too.

I'm wondering, Duncan, how did you get it ingame? Did you create a new npc type?

THe droideka is a normal VH_WALKER, but slightly enhanced.

For it to work properly, the next version of the OJP mod (Basic or Enhanced) will need to be running. The droideka will be included at the same time in the new OJP vehicles pack.

All this new OJP stuff will be out soon...

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by this. It has an associated .npc file, if that's what you mean...

Like a normal npc not a pilotable vehicle npc.

The shields on / off stuff will happen automatically as you go between moving (off) and not-moving (on) - as will the folding in / out animations.

As I said before, you'll need to be running the OJP mod for this to work correctly. Once this skin is ready, (assuming your OK with sumbitting this to the OJP), we can make a beta so you can try it out in-game properly...

I think it sounds realy cool:cool: but realy think you should think about making it a playable model because I think it would make a sweet model!
