View Full Version : The Say Nice Things Thread

02-12-2004, 07:50 PM
Here's a thread I stole from Spongey over at AGS. Okay, so basically you have to say something nice about the guy/girl who posted before you. And it has to be honest. You can't lie or be sarcastic. If you don't like the person, try finding some part of their personality that you value.

02-12-2004, 08:43 PM
Yufster is utterly brilliant.

02-12-2004, 08:50 PM
Thrik is funny and can come out with some of the best sarcastic one liners ever. He's also got a brilliant avatar, and is a lousy moderator which is all the better for me as an abusive forum member.

yufster is an excellent thread-maker and an awesome game maker.

02-12-2004, 08:59 PM
Nothing Pop-Culture can slip past Das's eyes. He's got it all covered.

02-12-2004, 09:57 PM
Ernil is beautiful and has a sweet personality and a hundred girlfriends.

02-12-2004, 10:14 PM
Alia is a fine young lady who is skilled with the katana.

02-12-2004, 11:06 PM
Philocleon is neat, and though he is not following the rules of the thread, he is still great!

orca wail has a great sense of humor and has many things to contribute to discussions and all other parts of society.

02-13-2004, 07:13 AM
Das Mole is the hyperest young man I know. He does this thing where he leaves about a mile of a gap in every post. This type of thing appeals to my childish nature.

02-13-2004, 07:44 AM
Yufster lies without blushing and gives a crap about the rules of the topic starter. She's like a Han Solo in that respect. I also like her infective enthusiasm and excellent writing style.

alien did not eat my brain yet, which i find very friendly of him. he is always anxious not to drip with his slimy icky spit onto the carpet or the couch.

02-14-2004, 04:52 AM
Orca is aligned with death, and therefore, very powerful.

02-14-2004, 05:28 AM
Skinkie's fetish with seeing computer game characters de-pantsed is normal, and somewhat lovable.

02-14-2004, 11:21 AM
Ernil has an eye.

02-14-2004, 12:36 PM
Mort Hog makes me feel at home because I remember him from somewhere else that I dont know where it is.
But I think we didnt like each other back then. Doesnt matter any more.

Mr. Flibble's user name rolls off the tongue.

02-14-2004, 06:56 PM
Yay! Alia!

Okay, Alia is really intelligent and funny. She is also talented. She is very musical and is always busy with one thing or another. She always has time to talk to people though. I think she makes a lot of freudian slip ups, like the time she claimed to be between me and Tim Schafer, and was closer to Tim than I was. Of course, she was talking about the Time of Day.

Alia also has a really cool Live Journal.

Alia is awesome.

02-14-2004, 07:05 PM
Yufster's disgusting amount of wit, intelligence, brilliance, humor, and creativity makes me shiver in a very loving fear.

Mr Flibble

Not once have I heard him be too rude to someone.

Orca Wail
02-14-2004, 10:32 PM
Mr.Flibble is really cool even though Spawn is orginally a comic book, not a game...

Spawn (http://www.spawn.com)

We love you anyway...

02-15-2004, 04:19 AM
Orca is smart and can correct people misbeliefs. Spawn is orginally a comic book, not a game...

02-15-2004, 07:01 AM
Skinkie has a great avatar (I loved that moment :D).

02-15-2004, 11:29 AM
Krazys avatar makes him look miserable, but hes actually a very happy person.

02-15-2004, 01:49 PM
Jedi_Monkey is sexy.

02-15-2004, 02:06 PM
Guybrush122 knows how to be scary but not too scary.

02-15-2004, 03:55 PM
Jedi-Monkey is the embodiment of exquisite reconciliation between Star Wars and Monkey Island. Actually, I don't think there IS such a thing, but if there was, he'd be it. Cheers, really Monkey-_!

02-15-2004, 05:21 PM

Alia is the most freaking brilliant person to ever grace this earth. Her beauty, wit, and intelligence are unparalleled. Every word that comes out of her mouth is the perfect blend of brilliance and sarcastic humor.

Alia owns these forums.

02-15-2004, 05:49 PM
Ernil's sarcastic wit and intrigueing ambience make me laugh.

02-15-2004, 07:47 PM

02-16-2004, 06:20 PM
Yufster loves Indiana Jones. You can respect her for that. Cos hes great.
Not like the ponses who swoon over Orlando Bloom.

02-16-2004, 06:33 PM
Yufster! Yufster is devilishly clever, divinely inspired and a great artist, and has got a game in the works would pwn0r all your asses if it wanted to and was self-aware! And when she is a little bit older, I have absolutely no doubt that some poor fool devoted fan will run a church in her honor!

Because right now I think she'd only qualify for a one-page website that proclaims her as a minor deity/bizarre natural phenomenon.

Maybe with a lousy color scheme.

But she still is a way cool, superbright person!

EDIT: Jedi-Monkey! I don't know him really well, but he certainly is a faster replier than I am, and must have a better vocabulary because I have no idea what a ponse is!

02-16-2004, 07:45 PM
Alia likes Grim Fandango which is probobly a good game if I could get it to work on windows XP.

02-16-2004, 08:43 PM
Krazy is right about Grim being a good game, so clearly he's psycic.

02-16-2004, 08:44 PM
There's nothing nice to say about SamNMax. He's a loser.

02-16-2004, 08:53 PM
SamNMax has modesty. I admire that quality.

02-16-2004, 09:03 PM
Jedi-Minkey has an awesome avatar, I'm drawn to it for some reason...

Orca Wail
02-17-2004, 03:11 PM
Guybrush is a wonderful, funny man, in addition to being a superb target for butter throwing.

He likes Woody Allen, but I'll let him live anyway...Guybrush, I mean...

RayJones is obsessed with panties. Who doesn't respect that?

02-18-2004, 02:01 AM
Skinkie commands respect, as he loves pirate men in their underwear.

02-18-2004, 05:07 AM
Another Grim avatar. I'm sure its a great game really.

Orca Wail
02-18-2004, 02:02 PM

02-18-2004, 03:29 PM
Orca Wail has quite a witty name. Well, either that or it's a spelling mistake masquerading as a witty name. But that's the cynical view.

Mr Flibble
02-18-2004, 08:17 PM
Huz seems to be far more intelligent than any of us, and he has a droll wit. He drops in now and then to impart his wisdom.
And he has the coolest custom title ever!
I love that song!

*You knew I would do this someday*

"You put the lime the in the coconut,
And drank them both together
'put the lime in the coconut
And Drank 'em both together

I said Doctor!
'Ain't there nothin I can take'
I said Doctor! ' To relieve this flipper ache'"

flipper? sorry, thats the Muppet version.

If avatars are a reflection of who we are, Mr.Flibble is a rotten skeleton washed up on a beach.

wait...so that means...oh, spit...

02-18-2004, 10:18 PM
Due to Long Island's fascist, conformist, and idiot-molding ways, Orca has rebelled and become quite the intellectual. She has a sharp wit, and an off-beat (yet lovable) sense of humor. In addition, she has a strange fondness for green jello(?) and tin funnels. She also enjoys long walks on the beach and fine dining...

...wait, did I just mix two things up?

02-19-2004, 01:44 AM
Guybrush knows everything there is to know about evil coleslaw and the varieties it comes in.

02-19-2004, 02:05 AM
Skinkie thinks it's cool that Guybrush knows everything about evil coleslaw.

And that's pretty cool, in itself.

Who could resist Orca's stunning inner-beauty and charm ;)?

P.S. Skinkie: I also know a plethora of useless facts about moderately ill-temepered full-sour pickles...

P.P.S. You know what else is cool, guys? Those boxes of fake peanut butter with snakes in 'em.

Mr Flibble

Guybrush, you should write a book. Your interesting life [or lack of one] could captivate millions.

Note to Orca: Marry him! He's cool and funny and perfect for you! And we could all go to the wedding....Yufster could be a bridesmaid, Alia - a flower girl, and I could be the best man....It would be beautiful....

02-20-2004, 02:24 AM
Skinkie is always everywhere you think he won't be...and that's certainly a good thing, you swell person you.

Orca: 10AM Sunday. Consider it a (marital) date ;). It's great to know that you'll soon be Mrs. Orca Wail Threepwood...

Orca, my fiance, will look absolutely radiant with Philocleon wrapped around her finger.......

02-20-2004, 06:36 PM
So, I'm going to be the ring bearer, eh? Well I know one guy who can help you choose your rings.

Meet Hannibal, the great Carthaginian general. Here he is back at Carthage showing off how many battles against the Romans he's won by dumping onto the ground all their signet rings. Take your pick. This guy's got a lot of rings, and he'd be more than happy to share them with you.
