View Full Version : Performance woes with the fiel of view

Hiya folks, I'm running JKII on a time machine. A 450, give or take a few mhz, AMD K-6 II with 382 MB RAM and a 64MB PCI GEFORCE 4 420. The only way that my system may stop chugging, until I save enough for an alienware, would be to set the horizon very close... you know what I mean, like Turok for the N64 ... Any help on how the set the field view no more than 20 ft away would be great....

try: cg_fov #
replace # with a number, 80 is default.
Just dont set lower than 80, it aint good for your eyes.

its a 450
k6-2's come in 350-400-450-500 and i think 550
get a new puter
i had meny a bad time with those procs
can't go wrong upgrading to a pIII 600mhz
but then yet again even after going to a 700 didnt seem all that bad
of course getting a p4 system going aint to shabby myself ^_^

If you set it to 450, you can barely see yourself and the enemy. :p

Thank you for the replies fellows. But i know about the FOV tweak and is not what I meant.
Lesse .... *mutters *oh, I know! Pop up enviroment ?.. foggy terrain?
ah fugghetabouit!... I better start saving ... any Idea where I might find a cheap case, processor and motherboard .. I have everything else....
