A few, actually:
Dream On - Aerosmith - Basic message is thaqt you should enjoy your time on Earth while you can, because you don't know if you'll be here the next day.
Livin on the Edge - Aerosmith - Saying that the human society is really screwed up, which is VERY true........
Crazy - Aerosmith - Heh, girl problem song. ^_^

Nothing I will ever refer to has words. Powerful music doesn't need them. Kind of like a powerful story doesn't need video.
I find Steven Reich's Different Trains a much more moving and stirring portrait of war and the holocaust than any movie or game.
Selim by Miles Davis always strikes at my with the anger and outrage of racism.
... many more ...

I made it a competition, and you cannot compete with imagine.

Two I thought of on my morning run:
- Cat's in the Cradle by Harry Chapin - simultaneously reminds me of my own youth and my Dad, and of my love for my children. Always puts me in a very emotional state ... in a good way.
- These Eyes by the Guess Who - makes me think of the love I have for my wife, and of the thought of losing her from my life.
As for the whole 'lennon - I win' thing ... I love the Beatles and Lennon, but not everyone shares his idealo-communistic views, so that song, much as I love it, is not for everyone ... so you don't win.
And ZBomber ... the fear from Tyler's lips is not necessarily a good thing ;)

This is a pretty broad topic...doesn't almost every song make you think about life somehow? I mean, if the song's not about life, then what else could it be about?
I guess I just cringe at the idea that 3 Days Grace has any insight on life :). That CD is pretty poor in my opinion. But whatever.

Well I gotta spill it... I use these threads to usually find a song I feel in the mood for...
But anyhow... I think istrumental songs calm me down a little more.

More then Words - Extreme

Note: I am not old enough to have been cognizent of Imagine as a new song, but I was old enough when my brother bought Shaved Fish new.

... besides which, all music is instrumental, isn't it? The voice is an instrument, after all ...

What you mean wrong ones. Isn't insanity a good one to calm me down...

My favourite album is E.S. Posthumus - Unearthed. Yes, that song does indeed make you think about life, in fact, the whole album does it's so sublime. Good choice TheHobGoblin. ;)

In the north region of Belgium they speak Dutch (in the south French) like the Netherlands ;)
It means something in the lines of "A very small piece of war" wait lemme translate the lyrics using a quick free translator (im too lazy to still make it a bit comprehendable, you'll have to do your best :p
Won't a quite small bit of war sometimes be better than that loud spoken words and that nights of the
pain?
Did not will a quite small bit war sometimes better can be then onuitgevoerde murder and that laughs of venom?
Did not will it? Did not will it? for this sorrow goes much too deeply
a fight do not shorten needs it real long to last a short push and then again further a shorten fight it needs
écht not long to last a short push and then again further
Did not will it? Did not will it? for this sorrow goes much too deeply
Did not will a quite small bit war then better can be?
