Ok, it's spring break, and I'm finally getting off my lazy ass and taking some baby steps as a mod.
Anyway, one thing I really want to do is make it so I can wear headgear, without it appearing on my in game model (purely for aesthetic purposes). Is there any way to do this? Would I have to edit each individual item I wear with the KT editor, and if so what would I need to change? Any help would be appreciated! Thx :)

i know that heads that you cant normally have as yours or on people in your party , ie Bandons , Uther , Yuthura Malak etc dont show the masks
T7 said something about a "hook" on the head , but imnot sure what he meant but you could try using one of the non player heads instead of the normal ones you can pic

you could make a selected head gear transparent
by creating a new .txt with written then renaming the file to the name of the mask you want to change
blending additive
decal 1
heres an example the Aural Amplifier=i_auralamp.txi
and here is a pic of effect
ooohh aahhh (http://members.shaw.ca/t7nowhere/files/transparent_mask.jpg)
and a sample txi file

Hmm, interesting... but there's no way to prevent the headgear from being modeled on the PC altogether (without using an NPC head)?

You could edit the texture and make everything transparent... effects like shielding however will still conform to the invisible model.
