View Full Version : Plea for my wedding!

Here it is...

I'm getting married on September 4th. We're having a pirate reception (yes, a pirate reception!) and we want to put something relevant on the wedding invitation. :)

So, basically, we thought a picture of a pirate captain and his wench, holding hands, looking at the sunset (or something similar) would be cool.

Anyone up for the challenge? I can't pay anything but I'll credit you on the invitation (and the wedding related website). Obviously someone with the talent of Ado or Dan Lee would totally rock, but loads of you must be able to produce something worthy!

Dude, how did you manage to talk the spouse into that?

LOL, well, I'm Helen, the wench, and Rob's the pirate captain. We were joking about it and our friends got really involved in pirate reception ideas. So we thought we had to go along with it. :)

The Inspiration lies in the Holy Books.

The Games, that is, Wench. Get to it! Play!

The ending to the curse of monkey island, whilst annoying abrupt and anitclimactic, should be just what you're looking for.

I'll cook something up for ya (it won't actually be a screenshot or anything, but it will be something similar)

Of course the ending to pirates of the carribean should suffice as well (you know the kiss.. not the johnny depp part, it was ingfinately better but of course not fitting for you)

I'll see what I can do. I pic of you both would be nice, or actually, several pics, then I'll see what i can do with them on photoshop.

I'd rather not have me in the pic... ;)

Actually forget that, I've already ran with my own idea and it has nothing to do with a pic of you two. What it is, is a pirate and a woman kissing, romantically, they'll be standing on the bow of a ship, and then behind them will be a sunset. Their figures will be very dark (if not silhouetted, I haven't decided yet) because the light will be behind them, but it'll look great. I still haven't found a decent ship bow (if all else fails, I'll put them somwehere else, but on the sea would be nice) to put them on (at the end of the day, it'll be done as a nice CG painting by me anyway, but I'd like a good guide).

Tell me what you think and if you want anything specifice (like a space to put some writing or something, I'm assuming this'll go on the front and then you'll put the relevent info inside, but you'll still want some writing right?)

That sounds great!

I've done the pic, instead of the bow of a ship there on some peak on an island with part of the island below them and the sky and sea behind them with a sunset. It looks cool. PM me your email address so I can send it to you.
