View Full Version : How to take screenies from dvd´s
I was watching a dvd this afternoon and at a scene I pressed the print screen button. But when I pasted the screenshot I only got to see a nice black pic. So I´m guessing there would be an alternative way to takes screenies from dvd´s but I havent figured it out yet. Does any of you peeps know how to take a good screenie from a dvd?
I think someone asked this question a month or two ago... You should search for it :)

I know it will require some sort O' screen capturing program, which you can undoubtedly download for free, and undoubtedly SOMEONE here can get you a linky to one.

That would have been helpful to me but SOMEONE didn't say anything like that to me. But they did tell me to download WinDVD 5 (http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/Product_Download.jsp?p=WinDVD) . And it has a capture option, it's ok, but it doesn't let you take full screen pictures. Rather it has a set size that takes a picture of the action on screen
like this size...

It all depends on how the picture is drawn to the screen firstly. Usually things shown using DirectShow (part of DirectX) have trouble being screen captured properly by using something as simple as the "Print Screen" key, or some screen capture programs.
You have to remember that something like WMP and Quicktime do have copy protection in them - try and use quicktime on your TV output and see it not display....

Are you being smart, or actually interested? I can never tell with you.
If you are being smart, maybe you should look at the free trial download...and next time think before you speak.
