In fcat the only returning member that will be playable again ís T4M3. However, some claim that Hk-47 will be in, while others say a droid similar to him will.

Actualy if I remember correctly the site said that Carth would be back too.

^^^ but wasn't that just a "cameo" (IIRC)?

*Shameless begging* Please Obsidian, you game developing gods, bring HK back as playable. *End shameless begging*

*EDIT* All they really say about Carth is "visiting his home world 'Telos", so I dont think he's in this 1. Could be wrong though, hasn't been the 1st time :)

Hmm, weren't you able to kill Carth in KotOR as a female dark sider? If so, I am not sure if he will be back in Sith Lords.

Someone over at the JC said that you not only determine Revan's fate through dialogue early on, but you'll also determine the fates of the other party members. But who knows.

I'd love to see lots of cameos though, so hopefully that's true.

EDIT: You've all seen this right?
http://www.gamebanshee.com/previews/kotoriipreview1.php#null

"In order to preserve the integrity of the storyline you chose in the first game, Obsidian is cleverly allowing your new character to tell the game what happened early on through dialogue with another NPC. This in turn will alter the course of events in The Sith Lords, especially which NPCs remain alive or are now deceased."

and

"Expect to see cameos and back-story filler from Carth, T3-M4, HK-47 (of course) and a slew of others who survived the last story. So does that mean Revan will make an appearance? This has been confirmed, but his/her story kept secret."

From what you can see from the screenies, it seems that the weird masked soldier that seems to fight on your side seems to be an iridorian(that's what I think). He could be HK-47's replacement.

I'm hoping that Carth comes back ... even if it is just a 'cameo role'

I think he is back for an appearance, but not playable. T3 is the only returning playable character.

Why O why do they want to bring Back T3. the only reason I used him was get into the sith base  and to see his interjections.

Same here T3 is my LEAST favorite person in KotOR.

T3 was slightly more useful than Mission, was terrible.

T3's computer skill, combined with boosts from items, made him very helpful when you needed to hack into something, especially if, like me, you didn't spend anything on CPU skills for any other characters.

I think people hate him because he's bad at combat. Remember, T3 is one of the only characters that are alive no matter what happens at the end of KotOR1.

Come on T3 wasn't all bad in combat give him calo nords pistols and all the Yavin robot equipment he did also have the handy ability of being imune to jedi powers

who am i kidding why they bought him back i'll never know :)

Sounds Risky

To create a bit of continuity between games and to parallel R2 and 3PO in the films.

I choked T3 with tk102's friendly choking power. It says on the party screen, 'I am broken. So very very broken.' C'mon gotta bring Zaalbar back!

Hmm,

with Zalbaar I always had the feeling of him being a "you know, Han has a wookiee, so our hero has to have one as well" kind of character.

So I think I could live without him ;)

i hope Carth isn't back as a playable character, i had enough of his whining during the first one, and dont want to have to go through it again.

Let the Wookie win.

I HOPE Carth is back he was whiny but he is VERY useful in combat.

I read somewhere that you get a scoundrel now instead of a soldier as first friendly NPC. Ugh...now that's going to make the early game easy...

I liked his characheter. He was quite usefull in combat..

Look at the bright side:
If he does come back as a playable charachetr, then he will have nothing more to whine about (KOTOR 1 left him out of ammo):D

Carth was useful enough but so annoying it cancelled out anything good, for me anyway

Candoraus was much more useful than Carth. And I'd rather have HK back than anyone. He had the best lines.

I'd hate to have Mission back. Couldn't stand her I'm a big girl leave me alone attitude. Plus I never used her passed Taris.

Too bad the only playable will be the worst NPC, I believe I only used him to enter the sith base.

So true.

Maybe T3 will be more useful in KOTOR 2, like give him rapid shot, sniper shot, or power blast or something, and an actual sidequest or two, or an ability to take command of other driods or something.

**uses of t3 and vao**

beating taris as a level 2 character lets you become a super powerful jedi later on. mission vao comes in useful when you have to avoid combat in the beginning to avoid getting your team fragged. use her to sneak by rakghouls to get the items to level up (set mines to frag those pesky pigs), just don't level up your main character, once you poof into a jedi upgrade yourself to uberjedi status. t3 can be used for the sith base comp hacking level and vao can sneak all the way to the place where you get the sith base passcard. though i recommend taking bastilla along instead of t3 in this level.

The only problem with t3 was that he didnt talk he just beeped so never developed into a character also t3 is fairly capable in combat try equiping him with calo nords pistols all the baragwin(sp?) droid parts and composite plating from the yavin station and using him on the star forge his immunity to the jedi powers makes him very usefull indeed

You can do that with HK-47. Much better.
