Yep, Warp is the best way to use characters!!! But still be careful, do not go to place in which you find one of your "old" party members.

Don't worry warping won't work with him Darth333, it's the only one because you can only enter Naga Sadow with Uthar.

Ok small issue and questions. First great job, first rate and thank you for taking the time to put this all together. Now an issue has arisen that is effecting my game. It appears that one of the heads is numbered 510 in the portraits.2da file. That number was used by the guy that made the new female PC with the tattoo. So my saved games using that female PC has the male bald guys head and Uther's portrait.

I found a work around for it, but you might want to consider using a different number than one used in a released mod to avoid conflicts.

Is Carth supoosed to be a Jedi Consular 4 with a lightsaber and Star Forge robe at the start in the Apartment? I just want to make sure I don't have a screwed up install or something since I have tons of mods on already. Thx.

Not necessarily though it would fit better. We did not attach any scripts that would check if the PC is Dark Side to allow the recruitement.

NO, unfortunately Kotor will not read the files that are located in another folder inside the override directory :(

It would be very good if we could do that subfolder thing, it would make the Override folder very well separeted between the MODs.

It could conflict with other mods using the same .2da files. You could edit the .2da files or , if you don't wan't the troubleof editing the .2da files, then you can send aall your old files into a separate folder ;)

The only conflict I have seen so far is with Nequam's female PC head. Other than that everything is smooth as silk.

Oh yeah any answer about Carth being a Jedi Counselor level4 with a Star Forge robe and lightsaber? Is this correct or did I screw up the install? Thx.

I was just looking at the Sith Armada.zip and found something that can cause me trouble, the appearence.2da.
last time I use a MOD that had that it didnt worked roght.
the MOD I used was Sephiroth one that makes an modification of Revan Robes, what happened is that the robe was completelly white. it had no textures at all.
I think this appearence.2da can cause me trouble again but I'll wait to see what happens tho.
A question, how do I remove the members of my party so I can add the Sith's?

Probalbly because you had conflicting mods iin your override folder.

I haven't tried that mod so i can't tell you what went wrong exactly. But 2da conflicts are the most common with this kind of mods.

Actually I ended up having to edit 3 files to get everything pumping. The appearance, head and portraits.2da files do conflict with only one mod on my system. The Nequam female PC head. The other heads replace the final DS transitions for certain PC's already in the game. The Darth Maul head uses the thrid Black guy(The Bald one). The Darth Maul head replaces the final stage of DS transition for this head. The others are like that too, they appear to replace the final DS transition heads for several PC's in the game.

Other than that I had no other conflicts. I would point out that I have no other mods other than this one and the Nequam mod that has edited versions of these files. Several of the other mods already have 2da files and these will overwrite them.

You can do like I did and manually add the stuff into the files or just move them to a safe location and then play the mod.

This problem i understand (know) very good either now, have ~20% rdy of my personal targeted mod and 97files (~15MB) in the override folder...

when i include new object to override folder (example save out from photoshop a new texture or ultraedit an script..) and sometimes override the wrong one due to lack of overview there now :rolleyes:

Good thing that i haven't installed any foreign mod or i would lost in the space 'errm' [...] in the override folder :eek:


I write a book "My fight with the override folder" whenever i get rdy my mod ... :)

Should i load KSE and set it to 0? if it isnt? Also, i may have screwed it up cause i used warp to get to the temple, and ran into them when i was going down to the catacombs to do that *possible spoilers* H puzzle thingy. and matalla or whatever joined, but maul just stood there being invicible. kind of funny actually, just seeing eyes and a lightsaber floating lol

Invisible NPC(PC) problem i know with missing .txi file when the modeltexture uses alpha channel. So i get always invisible weapons, items, armors or PC/NPC.

I made alpha channel when i did the clonetroopers armor, withput .txi file and it visible...

it worked, i played through the normal way without warping. and skipped that room and just picked them up after i killed jolee.

Cuz my brother is playing right at the beginning of the game and he is a newbie and will want to play first with the normal characters then if he wants with the Darth's.
So, is this possible or everytime he wants to play I'll have to remove the files from the Override folder?

In some of them it's possible, Ceeia, Sybril (kill her instead off helping them), Sidious, Maul and Matilaa, Malek are possible. for Morder you have an option in begining sort of like "fine i'll leave you", and Straker is not possible BUT you only need to remove the Spawn_Darkjedi.ncs file, without it no Straker.

straker I'm still having that problem with the characters aren't appearing. I went to tat, went to the dune sea he wasn't where komad is (komads just standing right there)

apprently i'll just have to warp to everywhere I'm going in order to recuit them :(

so could someone provide a list of the maps to warp to get these guys? cause I don't know them off hand.

BEFORE The Leviathan

Ceeia Ventress : She's near Juhani in the grove, when you are sent after Juhani. Warp Cheat: >Warp Danm13

Darth Morder : He's in Manaan's bar. Warp Cheat: >Warp manm26aa

Darth Malek : In Tatooine, in the Krayt Dragon area (don't be rude to him in the bar) Warp Cheat:
>Warp tat_m17aa

These Next Ones to be done AFTER the Leviathan

Darth Sybril : Korriban, in the shyrack cave - agree to help her and kill the terantanek. this one can be used for prestige Warp Cheat: >Warp korr_m33ab

Darth Straker : Korriban, Naga Sadow's Tomb, he appears when you freeze the acid pool. you've got to get Prestige for this one, Sorry. Warp Cheat: >Warp korr_m36aa

The Next Two do it AFTER killing Jolee and Juhani on the temple summit

Darth Maul and Matilaa: In the Unknown's World temple, just search them and you'll eventually find them (REMEMBER TO KILL JOLEE AND JUHANI FIRST!!!)Warp Cheat to inside the temple: >Warp unk_m44aa

Finally, recruit this one ONLY AFTER Carth leaves

Darth Sidious: near the Elder's temple (near the water to be more precise), after you talked to holo from entrance. Warp Cheat: >Warp unk_m4aa (go 2 Elder's enclave, lightside)

Yes, but that head has a few tricks;
1- that head only appears if you have a few dark side points; 2 - it'll look awful without the hooded Revan robes. But you can do it, not from very start. Still, go to the appearance.2da file and copy Darth Sidious's row to your chosen character and then wait to have DS points or you could cheat ---> adddarkside .

I don't know what's going on with it either.... Malek wasn't in the bar or the krayt area. Now I did go to the krayt area first then read the file saw the bar thing and went back and he wasn't there might that have caused the problem?


However the first lady wasn't near juhani either.......

also the girl near juhani... is her vitality suppose to be so low? Like she only has 59 something vp's and she's a level 9

Perhaps you have conflicts with other mds in you override folder. I suggets you take all the files located in your override directory and put them into a separate folder. Then extract all the files for the Sith Armada to your clean override directory.
Let us know if you still have problmes after this.

It doesnt show what level you are in the classes anymore and therefore you cant edit the force powers in your character.
Has this happened to anyone before?
Have you guys tested with KSE files?

do you mean your KSE files are affecting your Sith Armada Mod? if so i did the Sith Armada with the KSE, if not please explain further concerning you lil confict with the Kotor Save-game Editor

Hmm, I wonder if you guys are making you PC Jedi class only to start the game and that may be causing a problem. I start my Jedi Guardian PC as a level 1 soldier then when he gets to level 2 I put him in the Jedi Class. Zero problems with the mod for me.

Oh! now i know what your on aboot!! you MUST have at least one level of whatever class you were before, eg soldier, scout, scoundral. then have a jedi class. i did try getting rid of my soldier class and having 20 jedi counsoler but the game just crashes for some reason?!

I'm using the Padawan MOD.
I used before and nothing happened.
In the MOD I get only 1 class in Soldier/Scoundrel/Scout and the rest of them I get Jedi Classes.
If anyone know how to fix this please give us a help here.
I'll repeat what is happening with me, open my character classes of ALL MY SAVES in the Kotor Savegame Editor and I cant see which level I'm in Soldier/Scoundrel/Scout and what level is my Jedi Class and I cant see which Force Powers I have, therefore I cant add/remove Force Powers.
Someone please help.

Do you have all Sith Armada files in your Override folder?
If you do then it is conflicting with the Kotor Savegame Editor in some of the computers and not in the others, we must know what is causing this.


EDIT: Another thing, anyone has a "original" Override folder?
By original I mean clean from ALL MODs.
If you do, please PM me and I'll send you my email for you to email me it if possible.

It's because Malek doesn't have all the animations ( per example double saber, two sabers) . But even if he stands still the damage is being done. There is nothing that we can do about this unless the model format is fully cracked.

I was playing today with your MOD, amazing by the way, and I thought, "Well these new Darth's could come with RedHawke's Sith Items!".
And I did it. I havent tryied yet tho but what you guys think?
Of course we would have to ask RedHawke's permission, but if he says Yes what you guys think about it?

Although my items are now all custom made the RedHawke pack and T7's Sith Strengh are great adds for the DS players.

He's Items come with a Globalcat.2da that already came with his modernrobeswithuti.
What now? Are they the same? Do I have to update them?

All the scripts were ok for the talk fight talk sequence. If everyone experiences this, perhaps it's jst a file missing.

i think if you got other mods installed it may corrupt the file that is missing.. but that is just a tought.

Nope, SIDIOUS.
I can not talk with him, only attack.
When I get close to him I got the attack options, I didnt get the "friedly" mouse option to talk with him.
I could only attack him.

I don't understand how it's possible. Sidious' faction in the utc file is set to 2 (party member) and there is no script at all to turn him hostile, plus he has a unique tag :confused:

In any event, I made a new utc file with a neutral faction. Tell me what happens with this one:

When that happened and I saw everybody here saying that was not possible to happen I deleted Sith Armada from the Override folder.
Thatn will sabe you the trouble. Well, you already had the trouble.

But I could do nothing to him except attack him.
And Yes, Carth already had left my party.

Ahhh, maybe I'm a bit slow, but Darth333 explained something about keeping the original tags when you recruit a new npc to me in the "Modding Requests" thread because of bugs etc. Now the Sith in this mod have their own unique tags? :confused: Sorry, but I don't get it. Could you explain it to me or send me the nss files of the scripts so I can have a look at them? I don't understand this scripting thingies very well, and it's even worse with the English explanations. Most of it I have to do with do -> try -> redo -> try .... but not understanding it really. :( I wish this game had a construction kit like Morrowind or was so easy to mod like Jedi Academy.

Or how can I avoid killing fellow NPCs only because they act like the replaced ones (i.e. killing juhani and jolee in the temple after choosing dark side)? Please help me and explain this to me (preferable in simple words :rolleyes: ) or send me the nss scripts, I promise I'll use them only for study and, ah, training. :) Please? If I'm asking very, very nice? :halo2:

There are two utc files for Darth Sidious in the mod:
- one before he is recruited "p_sidious.utc"--> this one has a unique tag and the object is destroyed when Darth Sious is recruited.
- the other one "p_dssidious.utc" is for when he is recruited and it has the Carth tag :)

For the multiplication, there is a script for the ebon hawk that will destroy the npcs when you exit the ship. Since it,s compiled (source not available) I suggest you continue to use the original party members tags.
For the temple summit, there are two solutions: chose the light path :D or alter the dilaog file and remove the scripts that will make Jolee and Juhani fight.

I had the same problem with Darth Sidious, until I reinstalled the files for Sith Armada and went back to an older game. Then I was able to talk to him.

The other problem that I have is with Darth Maul, I can only see his eyes, teeth, his saber and his shadow. When I first seen him in the temple, he was like this. Then I went to the Ebon Hawk and he had his skin. This lasted only for a while, as soon as I took him off of the Hawk, he went back to just being able to see his eyes, teeth, saber and shadow.

Oops, of course, individual tag before they get recruited. I'm feeling a bit stupid now. :roleyess: I forgot that the NPCs in the other mods are already in the game. Sorry. :D
And editing the dialogue files is at least something I can do correctly. :D Thank you for your patience your answers. :thumbsup:

If you edit the dialog on the temple summit and remove some scripts, you may run into some trouble later on if at the same time you remove scripts that set global variables.

The temple summit is a critical point where you chose between the light and the dark path so you have to be careful! I havent check it but you could check what globals are activated with the Global Variable Comparison Tool by Tk102 : http://www.pcgamemods.com/5274/ .

So I simply removed Sith Armada.

The Vader Mask isn't a seperate item, as there is no item files or model files in the mod just the skin so my guess would be that it is the standard Sith Mask or one of the others.

So you need to expirement around a little using the giveitem cheat to find out which one it is.

I believe the giveitem codes can be found for the KotOR items here. (http://www.starwarsknights.com/items.php) the uti filename given is the giveitem code just remove the .uti on the end. Cheat for all the masks and put them on and see which one comes up as the Vader Mask.

Remember this mod is one of the older ones, and as such was released long before we had any sort of real model editing capability. ;)

sorry for being such a noob an all but this mod is confusing me an crap, all i see in this is that all it does is change all the players in jedi/sith an rather irridating.

can somone tell me what this mod does, but from what it sounds like u get to have a gigantic battle at some point in the game.

Hello, I was wondering if the makers of this mod "Darth Straker's And Darth333's SITH ARMADA" could possibly update it to use TSL patcher if at all possible. Thanks.

Edit: Well I sent a PM to straker and it seems he has been missing in action for a looooong time. I personally think a totally revamped / new Sith Armada mod should be released. It has been a long time sinse the original was done, perhaps someone would be willing to start it from scratch?
