Its sad that Duncan doenst make models for this game anymore
:( he was a great modeller I believe... so just see this skinning work as a gift or something, like I also did the ATAT and Droideka skins for him.
Im going to sleep now :) and tomorrow Ill start to do the real work on it ;)

That's good!
Only thing I noticed though is that the engines look too "new". Maybe you want to make them grimey or something to show that they've been used a lot.:)

Miko Reglia :
Yeah, that's a good idea. I'm not good in making those...
but I'll try. ;)
MadCow1989 :
I noticed that, Its a long time ago that I tried to put vehicles ingame... If I'm right, there is a tutorial somewhere for that.
I need that one fist :)

I can bump map that and add some grime if you'd like.

keshire,
This really could be me, but I saw it ingame and its not really what I want though.
The lines on all texture are thick and its very shiny everywhere.
I cant really find any grimy parts?
I think I'll put the normal skin back and then I'll see what to do with the shiny shader and I'll add some grimy parts on the skin later.

Ya. The shiny shader needs an alpha map so the shine isn't over the entire thing. But the base textures do have the dirt and grime on them. If you'd like I can send the grime layer seperately so that you can add some noise and color, and blend it the way you want.

I tried some things now,
when I add the normal skin again and leave the shaders
the model looks very light so I changed the shaders alphaGen const to : 0.9
but well,
I dunno maybe it just dont need any shiny stuff...
I cant remember it looked shiny in the movie
I'll finish the cockpit skin first now and after that the shader things,

Well then its a good thing I made a grit layer for the chassis, despite the "I did not modify this" disclaimer written across it. :)
If you have photoshop you can just blend them all together however you want.
Edit: also was debating on adding a nice idle animation to it, but decided against it. :)

These are all the areas where dirt and grime will collect.

So like I said. go ahead and give it a rust color, Add a noise layer and a gold/yellow/brown fill layer. And you should be good to go.
