...And it is awesome!!! But, I am having a problem. After a while, when the game is trying to load a new scene/area, it crashes. I just got a new motherboard and I just d/led the latest drivers for that and I'm going to update the sound card drivers. I'm just trying to find out if anyone else has had this problem and if anyone knows how to fix it...

Have you downloaded the update patches for KOTOR? Because even if you do, it's still going to crash like that. KOTOR on PC was even buggier than KOTOR on the Xbox

That happened to me too. I'm not sure, but I think I lowered my screen resolution from my Control Panel thingy. And then it loaded properly. Maybe. I don't remember becuase it was like 5 months ago, but try it.

Heh, I have KotOR for XBOX...a lot of glitches, but it still rocks!!

KotOR has received 113 awards...35 of them are Game of the Year type awards...it has the most awards of any video game ever created, and the most Game of the Year awards of any video game.

Err, sorry, it was most Game of the Year awards other than FPS, TPS.

It still has most awards.

Thanks guys. I already had the updates for the game. The new driver for the MB is what I needed. I also changed my video card setting from Direct 3D to OpenGL and that seemed to help...Now, if I could get rid of some lag so I might be able to beat the game...

KOTOR has its bugs, that is for sure. Like the one where you are running, and it stops you. You have to run back a bit before it'll let you move on. =\

Luckily, if you save often like me, those crashes don't do much except take a minute or so away from game time. :)

kotor does crash, a lot.
although i found 1.03 did reduce the number of crashes a great deal

its still the best game ever, and i can't believe there are people who still haven't played it... i weep for you.

does quantity even matter? i think kotor did an awesome job, scoring high as a RPG in a world of FPS

I wasn't comparing either game, I was just mentioning that KoToR didn't recieve the most Game of the Year awards.

I don't have KoToR anyways.

I never found KOTOR crashed .... lucky me... :D

Siv, while KOTOR is a great game, its not the greatest RPG ever, I'll save that honour for NWN..... theres a depth in NWN that KOTOR doesnt come close to having....

Personally, I've not had a single KotOR crash yet - and played 4 full times, plus started 2 others, on 3 different computers.

Me neither... the only time it was slow was when I played it unpatched

So I came across this in looking for an answer to my problems: http://swforums.bioware.com/viewtopic.html?topic=365854&forum=80 . Basically they're saying that I should revert to an older driver because my video card is causing the problems. Any thoughts on this?
