The minimum system requirements are pretty low. I have 2.4 Ghz CPU, 512 RAM, and a 64 MB Video Card, and this thing runs like a dream on all medium (some high) settings.

Awesome demo.

Hmmm....I have never really played these games...do they fall into the RTS category, because if so, I have no desire watching little figures running around for endless hours in the directions I want them to go, I have an ant farm for that........

RPG ROXXORRZ .....NWN. KOTOR. FF :p

didn't this come out years ago? I remember watching it used on some battle simulation show on the bbc at least a year ago. It looked ok, but it has taken so long to come out that i doubt it looks very impressive now. Shogun TW was fun though... when it didn't crash my pc... :D

Yes toms, the did use Rome total war or something along the lines of it for that.

It was the engine they used, not the game itself ;)

Everyone, please excuse me if I go a little overboard praising this game...I probably won't be able to help it.

Took me a while to pass this level, most of the times I was brutally crushed by the mighty roman legions. I still don't understand exactly how I won. What irritated me was that I couldn't tell the dead from the living, and barely from the other army. So It was a bit hard for me to control it, and without the minimap I'd be totally lost.

You don't understand, I'd expect that from the elephants, I did it with the freakin horses

I've played it now.

I have no reservations on buying this game (well, I didn't have any before, but the demo was so awexome). I don't think they could have done much better. I maxed out most of the settings, and it still ran at a decent framerate. W00t! I cannot wait for the full game...

I have GeforceFX 5200, and I had to lower stuff to medium to get good frame rate.

I had to put everything on low settings with 800x600 res. I'll be playing it again with settings higher and res higher aswell soon I hope. Good demo though. Wish it had another battle to boot.

If it had a castle siege, I would not be on LF right now. Or any other time in the near future. :D

EDIT: I love these guys. :)

I ran it everything high with 1024x768 no AA (I don't care for AA) and got like 30-40 fps in the middle of battle. (5700 FX 256mb with 3.2 pentium 4 and 1 gig of ram)
I used the suprise group to kill the general in the first minute :D
Then it was all about mopping up the rest :D

It's one of the best. I mean, normally they bore me to hell, but this...

It's an RTS/Turn based hybrid, you control your country turn based but individual battles are RTS. There ain't, however, any resource collecting in the RTS portion, just huge battles.

I can wipe out the Romans very well now on the super hard difficulty. It's all about those elephants, man... :D Cavalry help out too...

It is a real time strategy in combat, but not like Starcraft, or anything. You control utterly massive armies, the likes that you could not ever dream of, in Warcraft 3 and its ilk. Each unit has a 3D representation. There can be literally thousands on screen at once.

I can't wait to storm a stronghold. :D

Haha! Good old fileplanet.

Just before 3, all you americans are sleeping or something, so no queues! and high speeds!

woo!

Awesome demo. Can't wait for the full game. Glad it's got the britons on... not the 'English' bah! I used to feel so guilty taking over wales :(

Runs full spec. But so do most things with my Radeon 9800 pro.

Cept Doom 3. Bastage.

Damn my brother and his XT-whateveritscalled.

Actually, I've never tried those Total War games, but heard a lot of good things about them, so this will be interesting.

You'll be glad you got it. MTW was really great. You just get such a feeling of sheer power telling your hundreds of thousands of troops to invade a country that's annoying you.

Note: Future presidents, please ignore the above statement. Not good RL policy. :D

Fun game!

Just beat the demo on hard. And it was, well...hard. But I managed to ambush their general with my cavalery and break apart their huge forces, and then killed them off squadron for squadron.
