I can live without all of those. I'm dying to get ahold of MGS3 though.

Gordon Freeman, or Master Chief.

Hmm, one can kick ass and is a scientist, another is a military goon.

Yeah, Freeman aaaaallllll the way.

There is an inherent problem in putting up such a limited poll for what should be an open opinion topic.

I am most looking forward to KotOR 2 - I just finished KotOR this morning again, and am really excited to play a new story with prestige classes.

After that, something not on the list - Dungeon Lords. I hope it will be as good as Gothic or at least Arx Fatalis ...

After that - SW Battlefront, SW Apprentice to the Force (GBA), Tron Killer App (GBA), STALKER, FEAR, and some others ...

I am somewhat looking forward to HL2, but IMO HL wasn't in the same league as Jedi Knight or Deus Ex, so I'm not really all that amped about the sequel (i.e. I see HL 1 as over-rated, and see HL2 as *way* over-hyped).

By the time Halo came to PC, it was just another game, certainly not any better than EF2 or Tron, again IMO.

You totally left out the most important game: Rome: Total War. Do I detect some discrimination against RTS players? EH? ;)

Anyways, that one and a few others like NWN2, Dreamfall, KotOR 2 (kind of, but not really excited about it), Dragon Age, and I might check out that EPIII game.

I'm still hangin' out for JA's price to drop:D but I picked Halo 2... and yes, I do have a job, but all games are priced way too high to start with... somebody needs to talk to them about that. How can we hope to save money for more important things in life if they charge us $50 per game?

If playing KotOR doesn't qualify as 'an important thing in life' you need to sort out your priorities ;)

There have been games I've paid $50 for and felt very satisfied for my value of money - some I've bought for PC and Mac at full price and been happy. There are others I've paid <$20 and felt ripped off brutally ... it is about what you get for your money.

But what about things you will need later on, eh? Car, house (yes, I'm looking ahead a bit). If you don't start saving now, how are you ever going to pay for these?

There isn't one game I'm looking forward, but many, so...... I can't answer it with just one game. I am looking forward to the United Offensive expansion due out shortly.

- First, I'm 38 and have a very good income, already have house, cars, wife, kids, etc, and so I can buy pretty much whatever I want.

- Second - I was kidding, thus the ;)

That was also why I put in the value comment. If I were much younger I'd have a console and rent games. I'm not, and our GameCube isn't much interest to me, so I just find out what I can and try not to get burned ... like I did with Deus Ex Invisible War ...

Halo 2, followed by Fable.

2 and 1/2 months ago it would've been Half Life 2, but I don't even bother myself with that anymore. It will come out sooner or later.

-First, lucky you! I'm 18, I don't have a very good income, am still living with my parents (no complaints though 'cause I like them), don't have a bank account, and have less than $100 that I can call my own.

-Second, I knew you were kidding, but responded seriously.

For me, video games are a low priority right now. I'm trying to get ready for college and therefore don't have time or money to waste on games. (It sort of makes me wonder why I'm here instead of working on school:D )

Well, out of all listed, Halo 2. Because me and my cousin will get it, and will be able to PWN eachother, and when Kjolen (meh, i dunno the weird o) comes to my house (YES, for the last time, I know him in real life! :p) I'll be able to PWN him so badly, cuz he sucks at Halo.

Pacific assault for me. I know it's just another WWII shooter, but I just can't get enough of blasting whordes of baddies with a thompson, or precisely taking their heads off with a sniper rifle.

Second on my list is KotOR II. My first and only RPG ever was KotOR. It proved to me that there can be a lot more deapth and emotion in a game than just pointing and shooting.

Just both gonna be great IMO
