Jawa Mod - playable Jawas

As some have pointed out, realistically there's no reason why Jawas should be engaging in battle with any faction in the game. I agree. This is entirely for your amusement, as seeing dozens of diminuitive, chattering Jawas charge into battle is even more hysterical than playing as an Ewok.

Basically all this does is replace the Rebels in Mos Eisley with Jawas, armed with blaster pistols. The "Jawa Wars" version replaces both sides with Jawas and is even funnier. There is the slight problem of not being able to tell at a glance who's on your team, but you should be able to make do based on crosshair color and who's shooting at you/not shooting at you. It's worth it for an amusing little test but probably not something I'd encourage putting on a server. :)

As TK (I think) pointed out, the Jawas could be pissed at the Empire for slaughtering one of their tribes.

They might also fight the droids, so they could take prisoners and sell them. ; )

I only changed the Galactic Civil War version of the map, but come to think of it doing the Clone Wars too isn't a bad idea. I'll change the first one (Jawa Wars one would be the same thing in either time period) to have Jawas vs. droids if you choose Clone Wars and release an updated version.

EDIT: I have to release a separate version rather than an update to the old one. Enjoy...

KingGuru and subs0nic are the ones who know enough about this stuff to discover new editing methods; I can only take the information they provide and apply it. If one of them knows and could share how to do this, I might consider changing it a little. Still, you have to remember that it wouldn't make any sense for a three-foot-tall Jawa to run as fast as a normal sized human, so I would never bring them up to the speed of the normal player classes.

There are a few "tall Jawas" in the movies, if you look (ANH scenes where they are selling/buying the droids), which look to be about 5 foot tall (rather than the usual 3 foot tall). Perhaps these guys would run as fast as a normal human. ; )

But that would require making a new model or scaling up an existing one...

yea, ive already done that, ive given a jawa a lightsaber and put him on the rebel team, go to www.swbffiles.com to check it out, its already posted on there. along with my ewok lightsaber mod, playable jedi and clone trooper expansion pack

o hey i also found a new way to run if ur model is running too slow for your liking, just do a sideways roll in the direction u want to go, it moves alot faster.
