is it possible to choose what factions battle each other?
for example, clones vs. stormtroopers and not just the standard galactic civil war an clone war?
would be cool...

The assets are set up to be shared by both teams in an era, so if you tried mixing era's there would be missing assets and duplicate assets that would crash the game.
