now this was a conversation i had with my ex-girlfriend online a few weeks ago...i broke up with her about a month or so before we had this convo...she later on told me she wanted to get back with me and this was her attempt to connect thru a favorite subject of mine......Star Wars.

i changed her IM name for reasons of my own...

Her- do you know that they are coming out with a new star wars game?
Me- yup
Her- o
Me- y you ask? think im not on top of things like this?
Her- i dunno, making conversation
Her- lol i know you are
Her- cuz i know you love star wars a lot
Me- yep
Me- wait which one are you talking about?
Me- KOTOR 2 or Battlefront?
Her- Battlefront
Me- o
Her- yup, it looks cool
Me- Im totally excited for KOTOR 2
Me- Not so much for Battlefont
Her- oo i havent seen kotor 2
Her-i dont watch tv alot
Me- eh?
Me-KOTOR is a RPG
Me- and RPG is Role Playing Game
Her- dah i knew that
Me- and KOTOR is Knights Of The Old Republic
Her- oo
Me- so why you mention tv?
Her- i dunno
Me- you have no clue what im talking about do you?
Her- not really, like a role playing game is where
Her- you umm play like a character
Me- yea
Me- and the choices you make decide your future/fate
Her- oo i get it now

the lines in red show that she thought i was talking about a tv show and not a game....i couldnt stand talking to her because she faked liking star wars and other things i liked just to get with me and i dont like people who are fake....i just thought i would share with you swampies on her dumdness...o and read her lines like shes a blonde airhead...it makes it more interesting

Maybe she was talking about video game ads.

Or maybe shes just an airhead :D

I reckon that was she was talking about or she is a complete airhead. And Battlefront is already out. If you had this conversation with her recently she obviously doesnt have a clue about the gaming world.

Whats up with the direct attacts lately Spider AL? I'm starting to like you less and less.

Whats up with the direct attacts lately Spider AL?No no no no no. Nowhere will you find me making a direct attack on any person. On their views, maybe, but that's debate.

Personally I think that publically calling some girl an airhead because a: She doesn't know what Kotor is, and b: Wants to be your girlfriend, is... cruel. If that girl was my sister, I'd be well pissed right now.

I'm starting to like you less and less.Unfortunate, but I don't vet my views because they might offend people. Hopefully that grants me more respect from people, even if it doesn't grant the "likeability" of conformity. ;)

lol i wondered if someone might say that :D

its just that she was trying so hard to be someone that she wasnt, its not like a girl knowing everything about everything that im into is a prerequisite for a relationship, in fact it might put me off a bit, its just when people try to put themselves over as what theyre not (and i have to say its the first time ive seen someone trying to pass themselves off as a star wars fanatic:D) they leave themselves open to stuff like this

a woman who doesn't know her video games - dont' even try to get back with her. If you end up marrying her she will always give you the guilt trip of playing 2nd fiddle to your computer.

I'm gonna need a big one.

In my experience, if you restrict girls to having to like Star Wars AND video games you will die alone. Respect any girl that does not think less of you for your interests, at times, YES they do try to speak at your level. I dated a girl last year who got into Star Wars about a year too late, and now she wants to see Episode 3 with me, even though we have not dated in well over a year. Strange, yet true.

Patience is a virtue.

My wife is a rare find. She used to hate Star Wars, comics, well...pretty much anything with imagination and creativity. I have since then dorkified her. Now she LOVES Star Wars, X-Men, Superman, Spiderman, Bruce Lee, Star Trek the Next Generation (golden age of Trek in my opinion), and even a few games. Now she's the perfect woman.

I am uber in my powers of dorkification!!!

Seriously. We met a guy named Logan a couple months back. What does my wife ask me when he's not listening? "I wonder if he has an adamantium skeleton"

I actually got her to stand in line with me for 4 hours for AOTC.

VICTORY!!!!!! A Winner is ME!!!!

Yeah...Ummm maybe instead of bitching you should be glad that she took an interest at all in something most chicks who aren't fat think is pretty lame. Especially for your sake. You're letting what most people I know would classify as a "dream girl" slip away.

Jeez, jebbers, think you were a little harsh? :p

Looks to me like she wasn't being 'fake' and pretending to like Star Wars video games - she was just trying to make conversation with you ;)

And everyone sounds like an airhead when they're talking about stuff they don't know anything about and think they do - ya, even you guys :D

Especially you guys :D

I took it as she wanted to shack up with you jebbers, anyone (Maybe my girlfriend has done this... Don't know) who would pretend to like Star Wars is deffinitly trying to get into your pants.

Luckily my women and me are at the stage to where I say, "Off with the britches." And zip zam I R Teh Happy! :D

Seriously though, I think she was just trying to be nice.

I know it took awhile for my chick to warm up to me and my affinity to Star Wars, but now she is very respectful of it.

*What's what: Dr. Who's guide to female anatomy.
*Makin' Wookie.

Sounds like she was quite a nice girl attempting to take an interest in something that you are interested in... i can see why you disliked that.

I think you will find that the number of girls you may meet who know what KOTOR2 is can be counted on the fingers of one hand. The number that will care enough to pretend that they care is probably less... :D

While her attempt at faking may have been a bit lacking, the fact that she was willing to fake should say something.
