WARNING: CONTAINS ZOMBIE NUDITY
URL removed : bill
[edit:bill] zombie nudity or not, no nudity is allowed on this site. please think twice before linking things like this again, thanks.

Like that guy in the article says: "Voilence and gore is good. Sex and nudity is bad. Let's cover up some of the nudity with some extra gore". That pretty much sums up American censorship.

And then they wonder why there's so much gun crime.

censorship is bad, but I really don't wanna see mangly genitalia. I prefer to see living naked people not half eaten naked flesh bastards.

Oh noes! Euro-trash hating on big bad dumb evil America! What else is new? Yeah. Dawn of the Dead being censored is the reason we idiotic Americans have gun violence.

I have to live with it more than you do… It is not amusing.

There's censorship in Europe as well. I don't see what the deal is.

Of course they used gore. You expected those blurry blocks? In a movie?
Sure, there's still the violence. But at least 'one thing' is done (not that I agree).

[EDIT]

Slightly off topic, but did anybody catch the extra or deleted (whatever the hell it was) scene where the corpse/zombie had Boba Fetts skull emblem for a tattoo?

I watched that movie saturday.

Was quite fun, we actually started laughing when scenes were supposed to be scary.

Europe is perfect, Canada is perfect, in fact everywhere else *but* the US is perfect ... we have a monopoly on street violence, stupid people and otherwise just generally being screwed up.

Haven't you heard?

It is obviously the fault of greedy American corporations (companies in other countries are selfless, or trying to impress American companies with their greed and ruthlessness) ... or perhaps the American fast food and media industries, which are really just grredy American industries anyway ...

Yeah, if not for us americans the world would pretty much have no one to blame for it's shoddy state, but because america isn't in the way, the world would be perfect.

Oh wait, did I say perfect? What I meant was that the world would be exclusively populated by white german fascist, all raising their hands to a lovely swastika. blasted america.

Xenophobic bickering aside, it's an interesting point (and the point of the thread, I thought) that in a movie that's full of absolute bloody carnage (yes, I did enjoy it), it's deemed unsuitable to see a woman's breasts. The irony lies in the fact that this version of the movie is supposed to be uncensored.

Now... as you were. And behave. ;)

England if I recall my basic history :p But, don't read too much into it. We kind of left that party as soon as it started. :D

im not going to argue the point with you because it never gets anyone anywhere to do so, so i will respond to your opinion with mine: Britain saved its own ass from that particular fate.
i refuse to get into an argument on that point because in my experience nobody ever budges or gives the opposing argument a seconds serious consideration you just get a series of more and more offensive posts, so lets leave it there.

aaanyway, i thought 28 days later was better than the Dawn of the Dead remake.

they did quite well, but without the constant influx of supplies via atlantic shipping from the US, britain would have been overtaken.

not necessarily, but even if that were undountedly true (and since it did not transpire that the shipping ceased there is no certain way to know) its not quite the same thing as the US army marching in and saving the day

anyway *kicks self* im not getting into this :D

I, for one, prefer Eddy Izzard's (www.eddieizzard.com) point of view on the subject.

So, yeah. And the Second World War – after the Second World War, that’s when all the empires sort of dissolved. We came first in the Second World War, but we were financially ****ed by the end of the Second World War. Cause there was a period of time where it was just us and the Nazis and they’d been making weapons for ages. They had a head start. We were going, “Get tanks out! Get the – we haven’t got any tanks? ..Get that ice cream van out there! Get it out there! Kill! All right, I’ll **** it. Nrrrrrrrrrr… Everything! Just throw everything at them! Just – that’s not – Harder! Orange fruities! And zooms! Throw the zooms! Or – **** off, you bastards! Pots and pans! Get pots – just throw the pots and pans at them!”

So the by the time America came in, cause you were watching a U.S. cavalry film, cause, oh, what the U.S. cavalry always comes in right just towards the end of the film.
[charge melody] Dun-duh-lun-duh-duh-duh-dun-duh-duh. [/charge melody]
“Ok, let’s go America!”
[charge melody] Bun-duh-lun-duh-dun-duh-dun-duh-duh. [/charge melody]
“I love the smell of Europe in the morning! So, how’re you doing?” And we were going, “****inell, where’ve you been?” “Ahhh, having breakfast. So, what’s going on, hey?”

lol as far as their late arrival in the wars goes there was a brilliant cold war era British sattire show the name of which escapes me which was talking about the Americans and the Russians and the fight they wanted to pick with each other and there was a fake sort of newscast thing and the newscaster said "It has emerged today that the United States has decided that it wants to make up for being late for the past two world wars by making sure they're really, really punctual for this one"
quality line :D

No. It turned into a satire of anti-American feelings, then into 'America's involvement in WWII'.
