Hi I would like to know if anyone is making or is planning to make an Endor Space Battle Map. You know the one in ROTJ. If not I request that someone makes one. I know that the Star Destroyers will have to be made and also the Rebel cruisers, but I want to know if someone is planning to or is making a map like this. I also have another question. I want to know if space battles are even possible, because no one seems to be making them. Thanks.

Dude, it's a first person shooter. What you are describing, well, there is a game called Homeworld 2 that is very similar to that.

I'm talking about combat like in Star Wars: Rogue Leader's Endor Space Battle. You flew the X-wing or another rebel ship and took down the Star Destroyers. Something like that should be done in Battlefront too, except you can also play as the Imperials in which they have to destroy the Rebel ships i.e. Medical Frigate, the cruisers, the Transports, etc.

Oh... well there is a custom map called Eddies Death Star that is heavily starfighter based.

Yeah I know that but someone should make one, such as the Endor Space Battle, where you spawn on capital starships (i.e. Stardestroyer, Medical Frigate, etc.) pick your fighter, and destroy the opposing forces' capital ships, and it's purely space combat with no surface to walk on except when you're inside the capital ships. And of course you'd also have to prevent the other force from destroying you're capital ships. And if one of your capital ships are destroyed your reinforcements go down.

PS (There are a couple of maps like the one I described above in the Battlefield 1942 Star Wars Mod Galactic Conquest. If they can do it why can't this engine do it?)

I Agree with LordVader89, but make the Capital Ships vehicles and it will be even better. Even for the clone wars it should be nice to have a space battlemap. :urpdude: :urpdude: :urpdude:

So he's making an ISD? Cool. Also that sucks that you can't spawn in moving vehicles since it was possible with the BF 1942 Engine.

Well, I think what Fred actually said was that characters can't spawn IN moving vehicles. I wonder if that wouldn't mean they can spawn, say, a foot or two above a large open area WITHIN the volume of a vehicle (like, say, a hangar deck). The way I read the original post is that they can't spawn into one of the positions (pilot, gunner, what have you) of a vehicle. I mean, the ATAT, Famba, MTT, and ATTE all are vehicles which spawn players basically at their location.

It's posible I think:
If we are able to make the destroyers ships indoor, so that we get a hangar in it with the ties. It doesn't have to move. Then make a calamari ship indoor with the rebel fighters. And for the last the big deathstar with 3 spawn points. The rebels are able to go inside the deathstar and destroy the shield. Then the 3 spawns are lost in the deathstar. And if it's possible to make the deathstar completely get destroyed it would be one of the greatests maps. Well this is my idea for a endor: deathstar map.

I got the game so i could be a soldier on the ground. It was a change from the stream of Jedi and Starfighter games :barf:. But yeah i guess that would be ok if i just guarded the bases :xp:

Yeah like the guy said before for the Imperials you would spawn in a Star Destroyer Hanger with a bunch of TIE Fighters and TIE Bombers. You could also spawn in the Star Destroyer Bridge and from there 8 people would control the 8 turbolasers on the Star destroyers and one or two people could pilot the Star Destroyer. And to destroy the Star Destroyer you would have to destroy the generator on the bottom and the two ball generators on the top and once that is done you would have to destroy the bridge to completely paralyze the Star Destroyer.
And for the Rebels it's the same thing except instead of it being a Star Destroyer it's a Mon Calamari Cruiser with X-Wings and Y-Wings. And then there would be like 3 Star Destroyers for the Imperials and 3 Mon Calamari Cruisers for the Rebels and whoever destroys all of the ships of the other side first wins. And you could also add the Death Star in if it's going to be an Endor Death Star Map and the Rebels would have to go inside it to destroy the generator and the Imperials have to chase them. Someone can even make a Super Star Destroyer, but that would be humongous.

Making Space Battles in Battlefront


I have battlefront and i really want to make some good space battles, better than even battlefront 2

was thinking about making capital ships destroyable from the outside and inside and putting those large guns all over them and maybe even sheild generators for the bridge

and making it so capital ships could destroy one another

also want to make battle over yavin, endor, naboo, courasent

if you would like to help make these battles and other space battles email me or post more ideas and comments in this forum
