I think that strategy games should have some formal style of government. As in, when you go online you could select:
Democracy: Teams work together and choose their battle plans before attacking. Warmup time limits are imposed when a team chooses democracy which allows them not to be attacked over a certain time. They have to go by certain rules though (such as not allowed to take money a certain way.)
Dictatorships: Teams have their own independent leaders, who have full control over everything they own. They don't have to follow any money-gaining rules, but cannot communicate to their teammates at certain times (like allow them to talk for 5 minutes every 10 minutes).
and then add certain sub-catagories like maybe:
Democracy :
Market Economy : Easy to go in debt, but can build up to 100,000 dollars more after debt.
Also, research more types of democracies such as republics.
Dictatorship:
Communist: Weaker units, but easy to get money. Foot soldiers have a time limit to live.
Also, reseach more dictatorship styles such as monarchies.
I think it would add more strategy, not to mention a neat twist.
