i recently rented Kindom Under Fire and wow, that game was so screwed and not fun, never rent it, it totally sucked like crap dipped in vomit.
hence i name this thread the worst game thread, post the crappiest game.

I thought about making a thread like this the other day, but forgot about it.
It would've gone like this:

What's the most worthless game you've ever bought/rented (spent money on) for each of your consoles?

For me it's
NES: Where's Waldo? (bought)
SNES: Frantic Flea (rented)
N64: Yoshi's Story (bought)
PC: Lego creator: Knight's Kingdom (bought, sadly)

And for the other consoles, I just don't remember.

City of Heroes... after the HOUR install and another 45 minutes of registration just to play online (which is a mp only game that you actually have to pay for) you get there only to have a 10 fps lag greet you... the only thing good about that game was the part before you went into the cities where you made your super- heroes... the rest of the game can be done without... 2/10

and Sacred gets a tight second... it looked promising with the Diablo 2 engine however they just turned it into a noob everquest with tis mechanics and all the idiots from battle net migrated over to screw it up also. 3/10

As for worst game I played.. Only play good ones of course ;) But should be CS. Not because it's an unfinished game or something like it, but not my type.

So you're only comment on CoH is the server bandwidth? Guess that's in the US then. My time to install+register+create char: 5 mins.

Hmmm... at the moment i'd say Halo... if i have to endure one more combination of "bridge, then circular room" i'm going to throw IT off a bridge...

Otherwise:
ZX Spectrum: Airwolf (never got past first force field  )

I rarely buy games without a bit of research, so I have had some disappointing games, but rarely bought any terrible ones.
I've had a lot of ones that were "almost great, but dragged down by the odd bad decision" though! That can be heartbreaking...

The demo of Phantom Menace WAS pretty awful though.

I think i bought a leisure suit larry game when a teenager... that sucked bigtime as well.

I tend to stay away from rubish games, the worst game I own is red faction. the worst game ever acording to PCGamer (UK) was the Big Brother 2 tie-in, they didn't even award it a score it was that bad.

It's a good concept, but the game is just so stupid. It gets boring after an hour or so.

And I wouldn't say it's for young audiences.... *remembers the love bed and the sounds that came with it :(*

Saying something sucks should only be reserved for when you have rational reasons, not just because it isn't your type of game. :p
Saying something is the worst game ever just because it isn't your type is foolish, that's like going to a chick flick (and chick flicks don't happen to be your "thing") and you say it sucks. Just because it isn't your type of movie doesn't make it suck, same with games. [/stupid ass rant that he felt he should say because he thinks odd things]

Superman 64 and Aquaman for example. The gameplay is horrible, the plot is horrible, the graphics are horrible, just about everything in the games, were done wrong.

And I agree, Diablo 2 and Yoda's Stories were awesome.

HEY THANKS! This is really a suprise, because I kinda thought most people would think it was funny, but not really you. I mean, since it kinda made a little bit of fun of you, even though it was harmless. Right? Yeah. So anyways, thanks again, especially for the Foghorn Leghorn picture. I'm not really sure how you knew I was a fan, but there's time for pondering that mystery later.

I didn't really think your thread was that bad of an idea. I've enjoyed it so far. Hope you're not all busted up-sad-and-sore about it, but my guess is that you're not. I don't hand out Foghorn pics when I'm feeling down. If anything my post lent you a little traffic.

PS. And EDJ. You're high or something. Podracer for the 64 while not as good as the bar setting SOTE, was still a decent game. I've payed worse games. Hell, I've played worse Star Wars games for that matter.

Same for all RTS, Sports and platformers ...

There are enough truly *awful* games that we don't have to be childish and put down games like Zelda or Mario that are as good as Halo or Half-Life in their respective genres ... aren't we ... ?!?

If they did an awful job on it, how did it become the best selling game of all time? Marketing isn't the only factor in that, you also need a good game.

It's not a fact that it's popular with the 20+ crowd.

I have yet to hear anyone from the 20+ crowd that liked the game.

The only people I (knew) that liked it were 13 year old girls, about 2-3 years ago.

Never played it, but it doesn't look like a bad game to me, just not my kind of thing.

YOu don't actually get many really bad games anymore, its part of the games industry becoming more commercialised and more like hollywood.

They take lest risks and are less innovative. So you get less disasters, but also less unexpected masterpieces. imho.

Though a number of games have been dearly ruined by bad cameras.

At the moment i'd vote for single player halo... god it's awful... did all te reviewers skip the SP and go straight to blasting other reviewers in multiplayer or something?

About 5 weapons. About 5 enemies, but some of them are in different colours cos they are tougher. Possibly they worst indoor level design i have ever seen in a game. Makes the notoriously bland stuff in Oni look thrilling. And a save system that will autosave you with 1 bar of health and an incoming blast so that you die within seconds of restarting.... Good grief. I thought the "coloured monsters = different creatures" thing went out with the spectrum...

Just thought of another. Living Daylights ont he spectrum. The first level was a training paintball game on gibraltar where you had to shoot other spies that popped up in the rocks. Problem was there were only 2 colours, the rocks were black and the spies were black. YOu couldn't even see tehm until they shot you... god i hated that game...
