View Full Version : Would you pay $100,000 for a McDonald's French Fry?

Reborn Outcast

Well, these people would... All for a fry that looks like Abraham Lincoln's face.

Yep (http://page.auctions.shopping.yahoo.com/show/bid_hist?aID=89133085&aucview=0x70)

Oh, and by the way. If you read the item description, you'll see these people are bidding for a PROP of the fry... not even the real thing.

You know no one is gonna pay for it. :) specially since most of the bidders have are new to EBay. :)

This makes that welsh guy seem sensable.

Well, maybe not, but it is still stupid if you ask me.

Yeah, but I suppose we all figured it was implied. ;)

Yes, the auction is a stunt.

THE SUPER BOWL SHOULD BE A NATIONAL HOLIDAY!!!!! As you may now, not everybody here comes frome the US, and not everybody here cares about american football. That said, there's a good chance (and that's what I pick up from this thread) that some poeple didn't see the the commercial and/or could have thought this is real.

I was just surprised that no one from the swamp was talking about the game... or about how crappy it was :(

Eh, I don't think this is a stunt. I'm sure dumb props get sold at rediculous prices all the times.

McDonald's and Yahoo have combined their evil forces and created this advertizing stunt which, will bring much benefit to both. :disaprove

edit: There's a chance the auction is real though... the current bid is now $23,800.00. You never know these days.

Golden Palace casino is currently the highest bidder, I'm sure you all rember them getting the famous Virgin Mary Grilled-Cheese ;)
