I was wondering if the devs for the next patch out there update MP, as in:

Add faction of Droids, maybe Geonosiains
Add better maps, like a canyon of Geonosis or somethin', change the limit of players on a server
Add more custimzation for clones, trandos (like a slaver trando), Droids {if faction is added}
have new better modes, such as return to Castle Wolfeitstien style mode, and other UT modes.

I'd like to see some bigger maps but that will come.

Or maybe change assault so it's more like a siege, objective based progression till you reach the end. That way it could incorporate some sp stuff. Like hacking a console while everyone else covers them. Maybe locking doors if you are defending so the attacker has to breach or something... it'd be cool, but asking a little much probably.

Good point, assault isn't bad if people will actually work together... just... they don't. Though they probably won't if a siege mode was made either.

Right now Assault is the best mode. But personally I'd like a class-based objective-based mode like RtCW's. IMO the Assault mode should be renamed "Capture the Base" since "assault" is such a general term and Capture the Base makes more sense since, well, that's the whole point of the mode. Then a new RtCW-style mode could take the old Assault name.

Or even a voice system... like cs:s would be good. so you can bark orders at people and inform people of the other teams movements.

Just found this and thought it was worth sharing.

Computer Games - Are there any plans to release new content and/or mod tools for Republic Commando after its release?

Chris Williams - Yes. We will be releasing additional content and the tools the MOD community needs to create their own content roughly a month after the game ships.

There will be modding tools out sometime. Not sure about patches but they're possible.

Hmm, maybe there could be a game mode -seige- where everyone is on one team and have to defend their fortress against waves of AI? Like...All republic commandos holding out against waves of droids and trandoshans

How about an entire map as a huge assualt ship like the campaign except all of the levels combined!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
