Or I should say, he was until he tried to trek from North Dakota to Manitoba, and lost his fingers to idiocy frostbite.

What an [insert applicable name here]. Personally 'idiot' or 'dumbass' comes to mind. :D

Love bites, or in this case, love frostbites.

[/chokes]

Poor guy, I hope at least he actually gets to finally meet his date after all he's been through.

From that quote of his, it sounded like it wasn't all being love-struck that made him do it. It sounds like he was bored.

Boredom can make you do things like that.

Quick Tip: North Dakota is a fridgid wastleland in the winter. I'm from Iowa and even I wouldn't venture outside there, much less go from there to the Great White North.

Considering this guy was from California I bet he had no clue. I bet he was probably like "ah its probably desert with a buncha grass in it"

I guess I'm the only one that thinks (despite his stupidity) that it took some balls. True romance indeed. And for a woman he's never even met face to face. The really sad part is, when he gets back to his computer, how will he type in the chat room? Or fiddle with his weiner while he watches his internet womans boobies on the webcam? This story is nearly Shakespearian in its tragedy, and romance.

Imagine if when he meets her he realises she looks nothing like the photo she sent, HA! No that's cruel... but oh so funny.

I've heard of and seen some crazy things people do when "in love"... this one comes in a very nice third.

So let me get this straight:

Canada is cold and full of ice? I thought every place had their own ocean and sand and beautiful 70 degree weather every day?

Later dudes,

Where I live people have this saying that goes: *in gruff rancher voice* "Pshh. Californians. " :D

Anyway I'll admit that it did take guts, but also a fair amount of stupidity. Seeing as how: A) He's not supposed to leave the U.S. in the first place. B) He could have done a bit of planning, you know gloves and the like. and C) The north is freaking cold in February! What was he thinking?! :xp:

Oh, well. Made me laugh. :dev7:

She couldn't afford it. :xp:

I think they both should have travelled and met half-way... or at the Canada-U.S. border. ;)

You remember that story about that guy that made that bet about the football game, ripped out his testicle.

Well a guy at a party I went to ripped out his right testicle to prove how much he "loved" this girl. She was joking about it ("if you love me so much, would you rip out your nuts?") of course, then the guy goes and does it.

I'd be breaking some rules telling number 1.

*Falls to floor clutching self*

Even if he persuaded her it wouldn't do him any good as he wouldn't be able to...um, do anything.

After that I really don't wan't to hear number one...

I do. Sith, if you can't post it here, pm it to me, because I have to hear number 1, that one was too excellent, I really can't imagine one better than that.

On topic, that dude is retarted. End of story.
