This ones easy.

What was the first Lucas Arts game you ever played, and what are your fondest memories of it?

For me it would be Tie Fighter, and my most fond memory was late game in those Tie Deltas(I think thats what they were) you were supposed to escort Vader to another flagship and I just blew him up.:D

think TIE Fighter was the first sw game I played, like...right before I even had an interest in star wars, or barely knew about it. :D

I'm not entirely sure. I remember playing Return of the Jedi on the Amiga. I also had Zombies Ate My Neighbors for the SNES.

I guess it must have been Return of the Jedi on the Amiga.

I don't think this counts as a "Lucas Arts" game, but the very first Star Wars game I ever plugged into was that old Empire Strikes Back game for the Atari 2600.

Yes.

I am that old.

I'd have to say Ballblazer for the Atari 2600, but that's way back in the day (just over 20 years).

yeah, I remember that, but me and my friends back in the day were all too poor to ever have a 2600 :( :violin:

one thing that is scary and amazing at the same time, is if you consider how far games have come along in just 20 years... lordy knows things will be in 20 years from now :)

X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter.

There were a bunch of LA games I had played before XvT, but that is the first one I actually bought when I got a real PC.

I also had the Atari ESB game, and a ColecoVision version of the SW arcade game. Niether were offically a LA product, though.

Although I was pumping quarters into the Star Wars arcade game in 1983, that was by Atari.

I never 'did' the NES thing, feeling much as I do now that I prefer PC gaming (w00t Castle Wolfenstein on my Apple ][+ !) to consoles.

So my first LucasArts game was Dark Forces, in 1995.

The first real Lucasarts game I played was Jedi Knight. It's what got me interested in Star Wars. I hadn't even seen any of the movies back then. I guess that's what I like most about it.

my first lucasarts game was Indi.... wait!!! STAR WARS ARCADE!!!!!!! that game rocked!!!

*cough* ahem...

anyway... what was i saying.

The first lucasarts game i played would indeed have been star wars arcade, in one of the cool sit-in-the-xwing machines at the seafront when i was about 5 i guess.

The first PC/Home game i played was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade which came as part of the software bundle with my first PC. A nice 286 with 8mb of ram and a 40mb hard disk if i remember corectly.
That game was great, had a real grail diary and a code viewer (copy protection 80s style!) and everything.

The first LA game i really got into/loved was Tie Fighter which came in a wonderfull big black box of nice thick card. Graphics and sound blew me away. That was the first time I noticed the Lucasarts name, and after that I looked out for all their games (dark forces, indy & atlantis, infernal machine, jedi knight, etc..) until they started getting dull a few years back.

The first Lucasarts game I had was SW: The phantom menace-demo that I downloaded a while after it was released. It held the first level, if I remember right... Ah the joy of cutting battle droids into half and hear their shouts...

But the first that I bought was Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 and Mysteries of the sith. Both on the same day and from the same dude at a flee market... Oh, and he was so nice to give me Episode 1 racer for free too
I love flee markets... That's what you call those things, don't ya'?

Actually a day after I bought the games, I ended up in the star wars roleplaying-forum of this very same community... Oh, I love those days :D

When I started visiting the swamp, I was called the Roleplaying emperor... Or whatever it was. Seriously, I love you guys! *sniff* I'll just... Go back to lurk in my own little shadows now *Walks into the shadows with a sigh of joy*

I'm not quite sure, but I belive it was TIE-Fighter. I know that was our first computer game. Im not sure if we played any LucasArts games before that on SNES or NES.

first PC Lucasarts game I played was Their Finest Hour: The Battle of Britain

and just about every single one since then, the only ones to escape me perhaps were a couple of the kiddie racing games and Escape from MI and Grim Fandango, as 3d adventure didnt really strike my fancy at the time ;)

The first Lucasarts game I ever owned was X-Wing. It was included with the first family computer my parents bought back in 1994. I had a blast playing it. I was too young to understand the critical balancing act of modulating the energy outputs to engines, shields and lasers, so I just made myself an invincible juggernaut with unlimited ammo. :p

Man, I don't remember it looking so... not good, lol.

My first would be Rogue Squadron, I think... I know I had this little handheld game... you had to shoot the ties... forever. That was when I was about 5 years old. I played RS when I was 10 or 11.

My first LA game was Dark Forces on the original Playstation. I remember my brother-in-law had it and I would just watch him play and hope that he's let me play for awhile.

My first N64 game was Shadows of the Empire. For my Xbox it was The Clone Wars. Finally for my PC it was JO. I wish I could of tried all the other LA games for the previous consoles.

Oh my gosh, I think I had the same handheld! It used liquid crystal technology and had a Death Star picture for the background, right? You could move your X-Wing into one of three positions to shoot Ties and dodge laser bolts. That was a fun little game. It got old fast, but it was fun to pick up and play from time to time.

I also had a similar handheld that allowed you to join the Empire. You played as Darth Vader and flew in his Tie Advanced X1. It had a little Vader figurine as a joystick. The game allowed you to change key events in galactic history (shoot down Luke at Yavin, destroy the Millennium Falcon at Endor) and utterly destroy the Rebel Alliance. It was primitive, but fun.

Dark Forces was my first; I tried playing it again recently and, well, I guess I've been spoiled by recent releases and all their flashy graphics because I could not get past 5 minutes without being put off by 2D stormies that look they were built out of lego - ahhh, but it was oh so good back then.

What he said, but I too am old enough to remember The Empire Strikes Back, only mine was for the Colecovision/Intellivision console. I still have it. I still think it is the absolute worst Star Wars game ever made.

The first LA game I can even date back to is Rogue Squadron back in 98. Now that was a good flight sim game for the N64. I remember having a difficult time trying to destroy those AT-ATs with the tow cable.
