Yes, there is, but I forgot which site belongs to the project.

So there is? Hope it tells me how to install the mission....

Yes, there is one in the works. I linked it previousily in a different post. Go here to get a sneak preview of it in the works.

Did anyone download "The Battle of Endor Voice Update"? I did. It's very impressive. There was only one thing I didn't like about it. It is that you can still hear the background music from ROTJ in the missionvoice files.

Wow! I can't wait till the Battle of Yavin is complete. Hopefully it'll tell me how to install the missions....

I can't wait, either.

Let's hope it's nothing like the one in
"X-wing"...where you're all alone.

Hmm...I wonder if they're gonna put in Darth Vader's TIE or the TIE Advanced in XWA...

From what I read, it's the Darth Vader's TIE Advance 1X. By the way Otana Man, did you get my Deathstar Tunnel Run film? Lastly, maybe you could have taking out 7 laser towers for an objective Deathstar Trench Run Darth Massacator.

The real ship, huh? Cool. And, yes Cloud...I did get it. This time, I could see it. I could see the entire film. Didn't know why it was only 30 secs before.

I'll have some details for anyone who has questions on how to install, when the game is released. Right now, he hasn't mentioned which game loader he's going to use for certain. But he did list a few that you might want to download now and read the installation tips (readme file), etc.
What might be good practice for you is to go to Ms. Talon's website. She has some missions that will probably work the same way the Battle of Yavin as far as installing and running them. That and from what I've seen the missions look pretty good (haven't played 'em yet), I just haven't touched XWA in a while, but if you're already bored with XWA, I'd recommend checking out Talon's website ....not sure of the address 'cuz I'm posting this from work. Just check some of her posts in the forums, she has links posted in most of her messages.

I liked the actual trench run in the original X-Wing. Not that "clear towers" mission. It was WAAAAAY too hard. Still, don't out in as many towers as the original. There was like 500 in there. In the movie, about 4. Wait a minute, what am I talking about again?

MARRIL is confused!
MARRIL hurt himself in his confusion!

And wasn't it the X1?

Why is it that whenever someone says SOL I am always in trouble... whether it be Standards of Learning or (the other version). I'm always screwed.

Here's some more info on the Battle of Yavin.

Ace recommended a couple of launcher programs for Yavin (check his website for all the files you may need). I downloaded one from Hellraiser here:

Then look for the link to "X-Wing Launcher V2.0," and download it.

But like all things, this could be subject to change, and he may go with another launcher program. Also, I failed to mention in this post that I'm not the designer for Yavin. It's being designed by Ace & some other buddy of his.
The game looks like it's going to be pretty slick, I'm dying for this add-on to be released. He did inform me it's still going to be a while but I'll keep anyone posted here who wants to know whenever I get an email from him regarding the status.

Ace's partner in the Battle of Yavin shipset is me, and I have some additional info at my website if interested:

My site is relatively new, and only Ace Antilles and XWL have links to it. Probably not many people know about it.

Anyway, it has some combat missions available for download to keep you busy while you wait!

The Yavin missions will be awhile yet, but progress is being made. We are really putting a lot of effort into accurately portraying movie events, and this has proved very time consuming as we push the mission toward the limits of XWA.... http://www.xwingalliance.com/forums/smile.gif

If you strike me down, I shall become more decomposed than you could possibly imagine.
