View Full Version : Do you play with your toys?

04-03-2005, 01:16 PM
Hello again! I just thought I'd start a new post where people can talk about all their Star Wars action figures. I personally play with my Star Wars toys, just because they seem to be made in a way that are just sooooo much fun to play with. The only figure I don't think I will ever play with is the Targe Exclusive Vader. How about everyone else?

04-03-2005, 02:20 PM
I used to, but now I just buy them, open them, and have fun displaying them. :)

04-03-2005, 08:10 PM
I hear that Z! Gotta love the wookie army I am creating infront of me now...and yes they are all next to my pc. I have them everywhere! I LOVE STAR WARS!

04-03-2005, 10:38 PM
I used to play with mine. I have the Millenium Falcon ship and I would always make it crash and stuff. Now I just set up the figures on a Tatooine like scene with Stromtroppers, Jawas, Tusken Raider, etc.

Then I do a little predicting game like "What if Darth Vader just walked into the ship right now?"

04-04-2005, 09:17 AM
I played with most of the PotF2 line. Pretty much everything out of it up until the EU line. I just get it and display it. The ones I played with will always be my fav figures, no matter how stupid they look! :p

I actually like the "actions" you do with the new EP 3 figures because, like I said, I personally play with my action figures, so I think that the new "actions" make them the more fun to play with!

04-07-2005, 05:42 PM
I dont often actually play with mine, but when i do it is good fun! :D

05-17-2005, 01:07 PM
of course who doesn't i do always. Kit fisto and Obi wan Kenobi(from ep. iii) i love them

(they need to get a kit fisto smiley)

Play with them? I'm 39 years old, of course I don't play with them. What would happen if one of them got dirty.

I do let my son play with some of my SW legos. Of course I have had to rebuild a few of them because of this also.
Mine usually just hang on the wall or on a shelf.

08-07-2005, 12:22 AM
I love to play With My Star Wars Legos.I always make Stop Motion films with them.

I used to play with them up and through the EU line, well at least with kyle, lol, i gave him a bowcaster and an imperial rifle...and he killed enough tuskens and Grans for everyone.

Now if i even open them i display them inscenes liek jabbas palace, or my biggest scene a clone wars scene (ep 2 clones). But i dont play with them anymore.

08-07-2005, 12:18 PM
You had a Gran when we still played with them or are you referring to vintage? Ree Yees was almost as much as the Darktrooper around that time ;)

Sometimes I mess around with my figures, but sadly I haven't since the ROTS ones first came out in April, so...

08-07-2005, 09:03 PM
Boba Fett lighter? Sounds awesome. Fire and mando skulls = pure genious! Where'd you get it? eBay? How much?

Oh yes. XBOX and my minis are the only toys I play with yet.

Yah Ebay, its pretty cool, i might buy the variants of it..like his helmet on it and such. Uhh it was pretty cheap...with shipping included it was like $12-15 don't remember.

08-08-2005, 12:51 PM
I was gonna, and still might, get a few lighters nicer than those cheapo Bic things that cost 2 for a $1 or whatever. I'd actually like to have one with the four leaf clover on it ala Last Crusade. I know I saw one for sale somewhere for $10. Shoulda gotten it  I'll keep a Fett one in mind and have an eye out for that Indy one should I ever see it again.

Yah...the dvd release....thats got alot to do with the subject lol...but then again nothing said here really is on topic.

08-09-2005, 11:02 PM
LOL, yea...hehhe!

08-10-2005, 01:14 AM
I hope it does.I'd love to be able to fall in some huge sleep until november 1st,then be woken up when they come out.

08-10-2005, 01:52 AM
I personally am more excited for DVD released of Batman Begins and Wedding Crashers. Maybe my bootleg of RotS has something to do with that, I dunno :p

$20+ for Elsa's lighter! Damn, I shoulda gotten that other one. I may eventually do it. It seems like a waste since I don't smoke nor do my friends outside of Hollywood coworkers, but c'mon! Fire and Indiana Jones? That's so appealing to me. I have other things to buy (minis and movies mainly)

Oh, and way off topic of everything, I saw Clerks for the first time today. Funny as hell movie that is. I always meant to see it but never did get around doing so. It's not one to watch with the parents ;)

08-10-2005, 10:13 AM
Of course I play with them. I like to pose them, make up little stories.I shudder to think what those stories entail...

08-10-2005, 06:14 PM
I always do that with my legos

08-11-2005, 12:02 AM
You know it just feels like ep3 just released yesterday, now the only big thing to wait on is the dvd, and yea i will get it, cause i am a fan. And then think about it, the only other dvd's we have to wait for is the clone wars volume 2 dvd. And then we will all will wait for the tv series, which I think will be good. Well anyways long live Star Wars!

08-11-2005, 02:46 AM
Not a fan of the cartoon and am not looking foward to the show. It may be good, but something inside me tells me it'll be crap. The movie was great though. If they can capture the mood of that and stick with the darkness and some more mature themed things (not gratuitious sex and violence or anything that makes it unwatchable for kids) it'll be great.

08-11-2005, 01:07 PM
I doubt they can pull it off, but I'm still looking forward to it.

08-11-2005, 09:52 PM
Well I thought the cartoon was awesome. Well I really like stuff like that like Samuri Jack, which is awesome. I dont think Lucas will put the TV series over the top. It will be like the movies, he is gonna keep the stuff down so all people of any age can watch it. I guess we shall see soon enough huh?

08-12-2005, 10:33 AM
Enterprise was a good example of what I mean. Most episodes were TVPG. Some of the major plot twists and ones that really moved the story along were TV14. That's what needs to be done....

El Sitherino
08-12-2005, 02:05 PM
Yeah, but Enterprise also kinda sucked at life. So... yeah.

08-12-2005, 11:19 PM
Did you watch season 3? Season 3 kicked ass. Some of the best television I've ever watched. They were all part of one big story line rather than random episodes. It blows my mind how they goofed on Season 4 (the worst episodes of its run in my book with a couple exceptions here and there).

08-13-2005, 12:04 PM
I could never get into Enterprise...I actually tried to despite the fact i reakky only became a fan of the original Star Treks...maybe its the strings from the ships...maybe its the shatman...who knows.

08-13-2005, 12:18 PM
hhaha...gotta love the shat man and ole leo!

daring dueler
08-13-2005, 10:15 PM
Ofcourse, where would we be without the Shatman and everyones favorite vulcan...Oh Nimoy how we love you...and oh Billy Shat your poor acting and tough yet sesitive guy ways made us all love you.

08-15-2005, 12:40 PM
I don't play with mine i just have them standing there looking good really.

08-15-2005, 01:57 PM
Maybe you'll resell them in the future ?...

daring dueler
08-15-2005, 06:20 PM
... Most of the time collectors will only sell if they are in a dire financial situation, or have extras.

08-16-2005, 01:24 PM
At least for insane nuts like us who need every figure made :p

Oh, and Enterprise on the whole isn't that great. The chartacters weren't as good as TOS or TNG. TNG is my fav and always will be.

08-16-2005, 02:42 PM
Andrew - I saw William Shatner on some laywer commercial! He was like "Theres a place.... right here..... in Massachusetts.". lol it was great. I think it was like Sholman, or something. I remember the number was 1-800-WIN-WIN-1. Let's call. :D

daring dueler
08-16-2005, 03:20 PM
Thats not William shatner lol..i think its soem old actor from the A-Team named Robert Francis Vaughn.

08-16-2005, 05:35 PM
He said "I'm Willian Shatner". Maybe you are thinking of a different comerical?

BTW - The name was Salamone.

daring dueler
08-16-2005, 09:28 PM
No your definelty thinking of a different commercial, i watch too much day tiem tv, and Shatner is not the guy. However Shatner does play in a show as a lwyor, maybe your brain crossed those 2.

08-16-2005, 10:09 PM
.... You leave me no choice.

Saturday, May 21
"Not a dream! Not an imaginary story!": The Law Offices of Mark E. Salamone have removed Robert Vaughn from their commercials and replaced him with William Shatner. If anyone sees online info for that please pass it on.

I think I'd know if I'm thinking of something else when I saw the commerical 3 times in 24 hours.
