Not gonna work.

But that does sound awsome and could happen in the future.

That.....makes no sense.

If it could happen in the future...it implies that it would in fact...work..

It could work...

...but only if Microsoft weren't making it.

Good comparison! I'm not even a Star Trek fan, but that makes PERFECT sense!

Suppose you are suicidal and want to drive off a cliff. What would happen?

Do you wish to end this program? Click yes to shut down, click no to continue...

I think ET was mocking everyone who made a microsoft / bluescreen of death / crashing joke.

Two reasons.

A) so predictable and obviously already done. By everyone who heard the news before you.

B) With some of you I'm not sure if you're just joking or you seriously think that it's something to worry about, just because it's *gasp* Microsoft

I think it's pretty cool, I have nothing against Microsoft, actually, I just wanted to milk a few laughs out of it. Something i'm not particularly good at.

Nah, I dont't think it is a good idea, and not just because it is micro$oft. i like to be able to control what happens to me.

So you never fly, or ride passenger in a car, or take the train, subway, bus, etc.?

XP has never crashed on me, but locked up many times. I want the new "Longhorn" to be lock-up resistant damn-it!

Good point. I still wouldn't feel at ease with a PC driving my car though...

(yes i know ABS etc do this already but it is to a lesser extent)
