View Full Version : final cut-scene
Okay, having finished the game last night, after a thousands or so attempts on the meat circus level I have noticed some stuff in the final cut-scene.
1. Who is the kid behind Raz? I'm not sure, but I think he was wearing a Psychonauts outfit (that green polo sweater) and I don't remember him from the other scense with the camp kids... then again, I could be wrong...
2. at some point in the scene, some emotional baggage can be seen behind the kids. If you look closely you can easly see the purse and the blue-white bag with a sad face...
anybody noticed anything else?

I didn't notice either of these, and also, how do you have 0 posts?

I think the luggage has been mentioned elswhere, but as for the guy behind Raz... *loads up his BINK player*... nope, I see no kid in psyconauts clothing. Sorry, looked twice.
If you look closely, just after Raz gets his Psychonaust polo sweater, the camera's panning round the kids about to go home and to goes past the outhouse, the door opens and closes quickly, it's the old model of Raz in his usual outfit before he got the sweater. At least that's what people tell me, it's hard to tell with a BINK player.

Yep, the kid in the outhouse is Dart, the game's original main character. You have to be looking for him specifically to see him--I didn't notice him until someone pointed him out in the references thread.
As for the emotional baggage, I don't remember seeing any in the ending cutscene, but you can see some in the opening cutscene, too (when the camera pans around after Oleander's "the rest of you...will die!" line)--some of the kids are sitting on them.

That's really cool, I never noticed Dart there! I'm pretty sure the emotional baggage was added in so that they didn't have to make new ones, it works out anyway.

I can see the emotional baggage being a cool little injoke and a quick way to have something for the kids to sit on. Kind of killing two birds with one stone.
Yeah, or this may be a way of hinting that this whole thing is a twisted universe within Schafer's mind. I think a neat little reference would've been Raz meeting Dart in his own mind and Dart explains he was a "past life". You know, reincarnation and all that jazz.

Dang, Dart is fine. why'd they take someone out of the game that's THAT hot?
Dart didn't look enough like a hero... cuz we need HERO TO SAVE US I'M NOT GONNA *whack* OW!... What'd I do!?!?
