View Full Version : TSL Operation "Frankensteins Monster" -- also known as the TSL afterending mod[WIP]

Well I mentioned I would do this in the mod requests forum. Anyways I've dubbed this Operation "Frankenstein's Monster" for many reasons.

The biggest reason is as we all know K2 ended quite abruptley with many questions unanswered in respects to the storyline. From a behind the scene's perspective there are partymembers removed or who die depending on the choices you make at the end. So I pose these questions to the community as a whole.

Who would you like to remain or return after you defeat Kreia?

We know the ending cutscene shows us escaping Malachor V. Where would be the best place to head to or find ourselves at following this?

I was thinking to have the player enter the Counsel chambers on Coruscant and meat with the remaining partymembers and maybe some others whom they have already drafted into the ranks of the Jedi.

Some feedback would be great because I have so many ideas running through my head that I could really use some cowboys & cowgirls to help wrangle them.

I don't know... In some of the cut content, it mentions how your character is leaving for the Unknown Regions right after (s)he kills Kreia, and that content is being restored. You could try doing a similar mod before the ending.

this is my idea; exile is passed out <feints just after boarding the hawk, i donno maybe it took her last oz of strength to get there?>in the medbay while some of the characters are talking in the main hold.... they could talk about wehre to go and someone could walkin saying somthing about the exiles condition.

then they travel to courescant <i cant spel> as you suggested, maybe you could have the exile say some kind of goodbye to everyone <except Atton in the case of fem char, i like to think he goes with her>and give each one a personal mission/standing order, or if npc loves you there could be some mushy dio...

Or maybe you could tell them about how you want the new jedi order to be established.......

eep i hope this is helping, i have alot of ideas floating around too

I find Fuu's idea really good. Al your friends stand next to a drained, and near dead Exile, who has saved their lives. Then a discussion starts in the medbay between your friends, about their alignment. If you are good, then Mandalore might leave, while he has done his job, and GOTO might too, since you saved the Republic, but want to reastablish the Jedi now, what means a threat to him. Also HK might leave, while he still doesn't have his protocols back (your good, remember?), and want's to search for Revan.
If your Dark-sided, other might leave. The handmaiden might accept her role as jedi, and tries to reastablish the jedi. Also, Atton might leave, for the same reason.
In this way, you can add new (old?) characters in your mod, and still can add Coruscant, and Jedi. That's my opinion. It's your mod after all.

But this is only for the end where you leave malacor. I mean I also ended without leaving it, staying in the academy in place of kreia. In this case, I could have an conversation with goto, after he disabled Remote, as I ordered him (off screen ;) In Kotor, you have to imagin a good story).

And what about Mira? Why did she follow you, only to run into Hanhar? (Of cause, if you are evil, this does not matter.)

Mira is a quit stubborn Jedi, if you trained her. She just isn't at peace. Maybe she want's to destroy all crime in Nar Shaddaa, or maybe rule the crime world. Maybe she thinks that can only be reached by training in the Dark Side of the force. She felt that once, when she felt Nar Shaddaa. (she was in pain).
Would that be good enough? Mira as dark sided padawan? Also makes a visit to Nar Shaddaa cooler, i think.

this project sounds really cool...
I would like to see all of them remain at the end except Goto, and maybe they could meet at Dantooine (at the rebuilt enclave) to start making plans for the New Jedi Order. If you go to Coruscant, maybe you could make the room that has the Silver Fountain as mentioned at the beginning of the game (just a thought).

The main purpose of this mod is to allow you to continue playing the game after defeating Kreia. I'm not so much looking to do an entire spin off after ending type mod. I just want everything to flow smoothly for those who finish the game instead of you suddenly just being in the middle of the Ebon Hawk with Bao-Dur gone and remote in his place and depending on your endgame choices possible other members being dead and gone. This is what happens if you simply tweak the final script for the game by removing the endgame line and replacing it with a LoadModule command.

Some very cool ideas here.
Is it just going to be cut scenes and then an ending, or is there going to be some gameplay as well? For instance if you spare Atris before going to malachor, she could turn up in the Jedi temple (at which ever location you decide to have it) more twisted than ever and seeking bloody vengance.

Personally I'd like to see all your Jedi party members remain, and as you talk to each one you tell them they are ready to become masters themselves, and each one becomes a prestige class, and they leave to find Padawans of their own and restore the Order.

I personally don't see why this would be such a bad idea, as if the party members are dead or gone, no sense in bringing them back after the confrontation with kreia.

From what I understand from some of the cut content, it seems as if Bao-Dur dies shortly before Malachor (though there isn't any concrete proof of this, I really believe this is what the developers originally planned on happening).

Also, in the cut content, a few of your other party members could've died depending on the various choices you made (if you decided to save them from captivity, or just let them rot and die).

So what I propose, is the game make a simple check to see which party members are left (most likely by adding in scripts to remove the characters who died or left from the party), and have them meet in the center of the Ebon Hawk, activate a dialogue sequence discussing where they plan on going (most likely some nameless planet of unknown origins) and take the game off from there (I presume you're going to want to make this compatible with the TSLRP for when it comes out, which is why I'm talking about some of the characters dying off or leaving)

This way the characters remaining are specific to the player's choices (once the cut content is restored), and it follows the plot nicely without having some of the characters randomly deciding to leave, or attack you.

As for planets to go to, I personally think they should remain outer rim worlds, as that's where Kreia tells you to go. I don't know any other than Degobah (is that in the outer rim?), so I can't be any help there.

Another thing that'd be really helpful would be new recruitments, (most likely different aliens you meet on the worlds or exiled/lost characters originally from the Republic) although feel free to do whatever you want, this is your idea afterall.

The council did say you were the ONLY ONE who faced judgement. There must be more exiles, though not convicted by the council, but still exiled. It would be cool to see a Twilek or Noghri etc. As other Jedi who got to war. Very good idea, Dark_lord-Cheez!

I have only played the game with a lightside male exile (and lightside male Revan). If I were the exile, here are the arrangements I'd make before heading out to look for Revan.

I envision that the following might take a month or two...

1. contact Carth again, as the exile would know by then that Carth was a companion of Revan. Any bit of information about Revan the exile can get will be useful. (maybe the exile will finally meet Bastila and recognize her as the woman in T3's holo-recording)

2. go back to the secret academy on Telos. Try to catelogue/study the jedi holocrons, artifacts, etc as much as possible (with Atris' help perhaps, I spared her)

3. during the time spent at the Telos academy, teach the companions-turned-jedi as much as possible, and have them establish the new Jedi Order (with Bastila and Atris' help perhaps?) after the exile left (I'd prefer to have the base of operation at Telos first (and in secret), since the Order is probably extremely weak at that point)

4. depending on the interpretations of the "wound of the force" business, the exile may/may not be deaf to the force when he is far away from his companions. And if somehow the exile actually believes what the former Jedi Council says about the dangers of his "wound of the force", the extremely lightsided (which also reads "extremely stupid") exile might even consider asking Atris and/or Bastila to cut him from the force before heading out.

5. if exile is cut from the force again, he'd definitely need to brush up on a few skills with the help of his companions before heading out. (e.g. melee combat from Brianna (the Handmaiden), maybe get Bao-dur actually makes a good remote for the exile, have Mira make a wrist launcher...)

6. lastly, get republic to fund a new ship for the journey (perhaps with Carth's connection in the Republic fleet). The Ebon Hawk is a nice ship, but I don't think it's the preferred choice for a espionage mission in a potentially hostile space.

You are right about much things, but although the Exile is a wound in the Force, it was based on the scars from Malachor. Isn't Malaochor destroyed? Maybe he reastablishes his connection to the force that way. He might even become alot stronger becasue of Kreia's teachings. Like a instant-jump to lv 50 or something....
It's true he can't take the Ebon Hawk. It's to weak in battle-means. He needs a fighter, maybe even a bigger ship.
But Bastilla might come with you, considering her 'interest' (erhemm) in Revan.
And Bastilla can support you in the force, too.
For the rest: great ideas!

Just an update for everybody. I've made a decision as to how I'm going to handle the partymember issue. I'm going to have all of the games original Partymember options made available except Kreia. I'm also going to include a grouping of new possible partymembers awaiting you.

Here is the basic setup of what is going to happen. You awaken a couple of days later in a room in the Jedi academy on Telos. Your a bit disoriented and not sure what your doing there or why. The last thing you recall was defeating Kreia and running to the Ebon Hawk. As you leave your room you run into Carth & Bastilla who inform you that your crew awaits you in the new council chamber. They also inform you other Jedi have come out of hiding and a few others who would like to train as Jedi also await you within the chambers.

Ok now I also plan to have special dialogues for everybody so they can explain the reason as to why they are there.

I know I'm late but here's my idea

Picture it, Exile is standing in the center of the core, huge rocks fall towards the Exile and in his/her weakened state he/she is unable to deflect them, the Ebon Hawk lands right next to Exile and on of the crew run over and pull the Exile onto the Hawk, as the Ebon Hawk exits Malachor and the planet starts to collapse Exile starts yelling in pain.

Waking up in the med-lab hours later Exile weakly calls all of his/her friends and apprentice's together and says

"My friends, I fear that my time here is almost up, I accomplished what I set out too do; the Sith are in full retreat, the hidden leader of the Sith has been revealed and destroyed, Malachor is no more and most importantly the Jedi have returned,"

"What are you talking about?" asks Atton or someone else

"You my friends, you are the future of the Jedi, You are the last hope of our dying beliefs, you are all we have left,"

"But who will lead the Jedi if you die? The masters of the old order no longer live," asks someone.

"That is simple," says Exile as death nears him/her "The one person who has the insight, wisdom and kindness to truly lead the Jedi, Visas" with great strain the Exile struggles to finish, "While we have triumphed today one thing you must know is that the Sith will never be truly exterminated, and one day all of this will happen again, the old order will pass away and a stronger one shall emerge behind it," Exile smiled as he/she closes her eye's and fades out of existence.

Suddenly a fleet of Republic Cruisers exit hyper-space right next to the Hawk, Bastila calls the Ebon Hawk but it is too late, The Exile's apprentices tell her what happened and T3 delivers Exile's last words that he recorded, Bastila sadly watches as the Ebon Hawk is cut adrift from the cruiser as a silent memorial to the Exile, Bastila’s last hope of finding Revan is gone.

Two years later Jedi Master and Council Leader Visas Marr, Grand Historian Briana, Jedi Tactician Atton and Jedi Battle Master Mira open the doors of the restored Jedi Temple and begin training.

Meanwhile back on Duxn Mandalore walks up to his Mandalorian Base and begins plans to move the base further into the unknown Regions, the Jedi and the Republic must NEVER know they were here, later that night a flurry of small Mandalorian ships flies away from the Duxn base, never to return

(You don't have to use this but I couldn't resist using this as a Lightside ending idea)

That begining part of ur end, the part where they save the exile and leave , exile screaming in pain part, sounds kinda like The Empire Strikes Back.I like the Mandalorian part. But who's Briana? And i dont like the fact that the exile dies, how does he die if he beat Krea. Whats left to kill him, or fight him?

I really loved the story.....
Although is might look like TESB, i think it is unique in many ways. If the Exile dies, it means the end of the Mandalorian-Wars Jedi, thus giving the new Jedi a chance. I really like the idea.
The idea of the Mandalorians is even better! No-one knows where Jango Fett came from....would he be a 'scout' for the hiding Mandalorians? Would be cool if they'd return in the SW-universe..

Well Krea predicted that the Mandalorians/Mandalore will try to fight the jedi , but they fail and every mandalorian dies i think, all that remains would be their code and honor,and then she says something about the mandalorians will be looked upon a shell of a man too easily slain by jedi,something like that,so she says it at the end of the game when she's about to die.

Boba Fett escapes the Sarlacc with the help of Dengar. He is largely unharmed and resumes his career.

Some of Boba Fett's character in the Expanded Universe is sometimes thought to have been compromised by revelations in Attack of the Clones, but the literature still manages to entertain and reveal aspects of Fett's life not discussed in the films. When Boba's clone origins were first revealed in 2002, they appeared to contradict a few Expanded Universe stories that had preceded them. Following the stunning revelation of Attack of the Clones, however, new Expanded Universe stories retconned the apparent discrepancies in Fett's past, smoothing out the minor contradictions that had arisen as a result of the film.

In a young adult novel series set shortly after Attack of the Clones, Boba seeks out Darth Tyranus to claim the rest of his father's payment. He spends a short amount of time in the custody of the Sith Lord before venturing on his own to begin his career at an early age, already making modifications to both the Slave I and the Mandalorian armor inherited from his father. He meets his future employer Jabba the Hutt, fights the Separatist supreme commander General Grievous (and loses), and had several minor bounties under his belt before the age of thirteen.

In the young adult series, "The Last of The Jedi", Boba Fett, at the early age of fourteen, is hired by imperial leader Inquisitor Malorum to investigate Padmé Naberrie's death at the request of Lord Darth Vader. Fett traveled to Polis Massa and Naboo to gather this information. Polis Massa is the small moon planet where Padmé gives birth to Luke Skywalker and Leia Skywalker-Organa shortly before her own death. We can only assume that Vader was not satisfied with the Emperor's explanation of Padmé's demise. In addition to this investigation, Fett is also commissioned to find and capture a former Jedi by the name of Ferus Olin. Ferus, recovering from a leg injury, is being protected by an old friend, Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. Fett and Kenobi battle from afar, but Fett doesn't get a good look at Kenobi and can never report to Malorum with any certainty the identity of this powerful Jedi. These events take place a year or two after Episode III, Revenge of the Sith.

Boba Fett also makes a cameo appearance in The Unifying Force, the conclusion of the New Jedi Order series. In addition to The Unifying Force, Boba Fett is a prominent figure in the Star Wars novels, comics, and games. Initially, the novels reveal tidbits of Boba's past.

Boba Fett is garbed in traditional Mandalorian armor with a string of Wookiee scalps at his shoulder and owns a variety of specially-modified starcraft bearing the names Slave I through Slave V. Despite his weapon-laden suit of armor, Fett is a subtle hunter and relies more on his cunning and intelligence than on pure muscle and combat skill. Speaking with a raspy, gravelly voice, Fett allows few to see his face and even fewer to know his origins, giving the hunter a mysterious aura and a psychological edge over his prey. Though Boba is a perfect genetic clone of Jango Fett, a different lifestyle has produced some changes from his father's appearance: while Jango was focused on combat skill, Boba's emphasis on wit over muscle has given him a thinner build. Even with the thinner build, Boba is usually operating at peak human strength (Boba has enough strength to hold his own against massively strong foes such as Bossk) as seen in the Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy. Boba's face remains hidden, but it is a given that he looks more or less like his father did, but beyond his actual features, Boba's face may have more or fewer scars, tattoos, or less facial hair. Even if Jango's face is well-known among fans, it only gives a very basic idea of what Boba may look like.

There is a long-standing belief that Darth Vader and Boba Fett have an unspoken mutual respect for each other (ironically, Boba is eager to see Anakin die in the arena in Attack of the Clones). The bounty hunter is sometimes considered to be the closest thing Vader has to a right-hand man, even though Fett and Vader are at odds (with Fett questioning Vader over the carbonized Han Solo.) In the Enemy of the Empire story line (taking place a few years before A New Hope) Vader and Fett come to blows with a cask containing the decapitated-but still-living-head of an lcarii soothsayer is the prize. On Maryx Minor, Fett and Vader fight one-on-one for the cask, with Vader emerging the victor by only the slimmest of margins. In The Empire Strikes Back, Fett is seen questioning Vader in an informal manner, a deed which would probably get an Imperial officer strangled.

Likewise, Fett holds a grudge against Han Solo. Few details are known, but Solo, along with Kyle Katarn, is among the only people to elude capture by Fett on multiple occasions. And, that is a good reason, for Fett is notorious for completely disintegrating those whom he has been hired to track down and kill.

As revealed in the Star Wars Marvel comics series, Boba Fett is believed to have served with a group of Supercommandos from the planet Mandalore towards the end of the Clone Wars. According to reports, only three Mandalorians survive: Boba Fett, Tobbi Dala, and Fenn Shysa. However, it is later revealed that this "Boba Fett" is not Boba Fett at all, but a rogue ARC trooper, Alpha-Ř2, nicknamed Spar, who has become obsessed with returning the Mandalorians to their former glory. Spar becomes Mandalore, the traditional title given to the leader of the Mandalorians, and later becomes known as "Mandalore the Ressurector."

Boba Fett plays a prominent role in the miniseries Dark Empire where it is revealed that he has survived the Sarlacc and continues his hunt for Han Solo. The story of Boba's first escape and recovery (there are three of them) is documented mainly in the Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy and the anthology book Tales From Jabba's Palace. Interestingly enough, Fett is found lying outside the Sarlacc pit by a fellow bounty hunter named Dengar, whom Boba had previously left to die earlier on in the novel Tales of the Bounty Hunters. One more thing: I've heared a rumour somewhere Dartn Vader had Mandalorian Armor under his suit to protect the technologie. The Emperor did that because he had DV hunt every Jedi down. The profecy said by Kreia could be the clash between Luke and Vader. Would be cool......

Originally, the Mandalorian clans were led by the warlord "Mandalore the First" and were ranked amongst the best fighters in the galaxy, thriving for battle. They were known for their use of cutting-edge weaponry and held to a strict code of honor. They were a gray-skinned warrior race. These Mandalorians wore crusader armor that differed from one soldier to the next.

The Neo-Crusaders were led by "Mandalore the Ultimate" and started the Mandalorian Wars. The Neo-Crusaders armor was more advanced and uniform-like than their old armor. It came in many colors, though most were blue. Elites, sergeants, and a few other ranks wore green. Captains (and other ranks) wore red. Some other ranks wore yellow. Canderous Ordo, who would later become Mandalore, wore a unique suit of silver and black armor.

After their defeat in the Mandalorian Wars at the hands of the Jedi Revan and Malak, the Mandalorians went into a long decline. Canderous Ordo, who fought side by side with a redeemed Revan against Darth Malak during the Jedi Civil War, later claimed the rank of Mandalore and led a small remnant of his followers on the moon of Dxun. Ordo was also a key in defeating the Sith Lord Darth Nihilus on the battleship Ravager.

Some one hundred years before the Battle of Ruusan, the leader of the Mandalorians was assassinated by the bounty hunter Durge. The Mandalorians struck back, and inflicted terrible vengeance upon the bounty hunter, but he managed to escape.

Over the next few centuries the Mandalorians slowly transformed into a less clan-based, more mercenary-oriented culture. It was around this time that a schism occurred in their ranks. A violent splinter group, known as the Mandalorian Death Watch, revolted against the leadership of Jaster Mereel, who led the True Mandalorian loyalist faction.

Eventually the civil war between these groups spilled on to the pastoral world of Concord Dawn. Here the Death Watch leader Vizsla attempted to murder Jaster. However, thanks to the assistance of a young orphan named Jango Fett, Jaster and his followers escaped the trap.

Eventually, Viszla caught up to Jaster and the Mandalorians on a distant world and, thanks to the treachery of fellow Mandalorian Montross, Jaster Mereel was killed in battle.

Jaster's protégé, Jango, took over the reins of leadership, despite Montross's disparaging comment that it would mean a "child leading them."

Jango's tenure as Mandalorian leader ended at the Battle of Galidraan, where a Jedi taskforce under the leadership of Master Dooku led to the death of every remaining Mandalorian, except for Jango.

After this disaster, the Mandalorians were effectively ended as a force in the galaxy. Individuals survived on both Mandalore and in other isolated pockets of known space, but they played little influence on galactic affairs until the Clone Wars, when Jango Fett became the host for a Grand Army of the Republic. One clone trooper, an elite ARC trooper named Alpha-Ř2, ended up going rogue and changing the Mandalorians forever.

Through some fluke of the Kaminoans' cloning technology, Alpha-Ř2 had memories of Jango Fett. He went to Mandalore and started rebuilding the Mandalorian supercommandos from Mandalorian Protectors, police, and even Death Watchmen. Alpha-Ř2 became Mandalore the Resurrector and his forces fought for Confederacy of Independent Systems. Among his troopers were Tobbi Dala and future Mandalore Fenn Shysa.

Twenty-six years after the Battle of Endor, the Mandalorians got a New Leader, Boba Fett, who became Mandalore after Fenn's death, and continuied the tradition of leading the Mandalorian Protectors. During the Yuuzhan Vong War, Fett lead the Mandalorian Protectors in the defense of Mandalore and liberated numerous planet like Tholatin and Gyndine.

The armor of Jango was far to advanced etc. for a simple mercenary...honestly, i did think the Mandalorians would survive....

wait a minute wat about your search for revan? when you say revan was evil at the begining it spawns the thing with bastila on koriban... the holo recording saying he suddenly left known space and if you said he went lightside then you run into carth on telos the second time... didnt anyone else get the implication that when you went lightside and you saw the ebon hawk go off that you went in search of revan??? also when you go darkside you never see the ebon hawk leave malachor V it just zooms out from the planet and the image fades. how does it work for if you went darkside then? the ebon hawk fell into the casm and it never came to pick you up... so how did you get onto it?

Although you already got a story sorted out, was wondering if since you are going to do actual gameplay where you visit the cities, would it be possible to say be on a new ship? You could use the Harbinger as an interior model maybe? The only problem would be the FMV that show the Ebon Hawk traveling to different planets ><. I just think it would be really cool and you'd have it suited up with a whole new crew, you'd be captain. Light-side it would be the republic, dark side you'd be the new sith. You'd be able to pick a new crew, and stuff, some from KOTOR 1 and some from KOTOR 2 with new ones who are just recruits from various planets. And you could name the ship whatever you wanted >_>. If your repulic(light side) you could try and do politics trading deals etc with the outer rim planets. If you were dark side you would just invade all the cities form sith acadamies etc. Yea ive gone WAY WAY WAY over the top. I can think of tons of ideas I just can't carry them out, I downloaded all the software that people said you need but then I was having trouble with doing something as simple as creating a new NPC. Oh yea Coruscant could be the new Republic/Sith base and Jedi/Sith council.
And you could choose who would be on the council and if you were dark side you would want to dispose of anyone with light side tendencies.
Public executions of Handmaiden and Carth for me xD and Atton and Visas would be members of the council.

I must say...

I am impressed by the Mandalorians, too.
I think they make a great race. Just becasue there culture is so cool...fight or die...but still brotherly feelings and actions.
I find them quit cool, and are eager to see more :)

I definately want Visas to return. My character was deeply in love with her...

I also want to be able to recruit the Red Eclipse Trandoshan guy who pays you (at the Nar Shaddaa Cantina). Also I think a good planet to go to after Malachor V would be Tatooine, just because if you look, the game included many cool creatures such as Krayt Dragons, Rontos, Dewbacks, Banthas, and a few others (all Tatooine animals), and while they're all there and their models are intact, they weren't ever included in Kotor2.

Just a few suggestions.
