View Full Version : Turning masks into heads?

Hey guys, This isn't a particular mod per se, but I'm not too sure where to put this post. What I'm looking for is some help turning masks from the game into a head to put on the pc/npc's. In particular, the masks I'm trying to mod are the Vader Mask and the Clonetrooper mask(from the clonetrooper armour mod). The problems I'm encountering, are that every time I put the masks into the heads.2da table and changing the head number of a character in the appearance.2da file, the head appears in the middle of the body not on the shoulders, and I've tried everything so far.

If anyone could help me out, I'd be so greatful.
Thanks guys!

I'm not sure as I haven't done this before, but it may be due to the fact that the masks are supposed to hook onto the head model your pc uses. What I do know is each pc head has a section where the mask is meant to hook onto, and what is probably happening is since you aren't using a head to attatch the mask to, it instead is attatching onto the middle of the body model.

I'm not sure how to go around fixing this though, this is far out of my area of expertise ;) .

Good luck with this by the way, hope you get it working.

Ah that does make sense, I had a really vague idea that it was that sort of problem but I still couldn't be sure.
Thanks Cheez, I'll do my best/ If anyone has an answer aswell, I'll be very greatful.

no problem, just remember to get permission to use those helmet mods if you plan on releasing this. ;)

Right, I've tried now to load a mesh off a head into nwmax and then just put the helmet over the top of it. It seemed like it was working at first, but then I had problems putting everything together, and It was impossible to put the .tga on it properly. Am I on the right track guys? Or am I way off?
Thanks all
