View Full Version : Fiorce power effectiveness, altering saber combat?

I wanted to add another level to lightning that emulated the way it worked in the movies. I'd like it to one, be debilitating at it's highest level, two, have an 'overdrive' mode that damaged the users health (like rage but you don't get back 10 hp after every use) ala palpatine vs mace.
Next I wanted to change the individual speeds of the saber modes to bring them closer together.
How would I go about this?

Well, all the force code is in the w_force.c file. Don't know much beyond that.
The speeds of saber modes is more my area. Because you'd just have to alter internals of the BG_SaberStartTransAnim to change the animspeed for those particular styles.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that seems to be a way to create my own all new mod and I'd just wanted to alter your mod.

Oh, well, the OJP code is also availiable. In fact, there's a stickied thread on the subject.
However, I can't really walk you thru each step as it's too complicated for that. I suggest that you go thru some C/C++ tutorials and then go thru the basic tutorial on the SDK that Raven provided.
